we never see leslieās reaction to jayās death. sheās not at the funeral. but hereās how the story goes, in my mind: itās batman and not bruce who tells her. she doesnāt say anything, but maybe he reads it in her expression anyway, no matter if it truly was there ā that silent āi told you so,ā and in reply he says, out loud: āyou were right. happy now?ā
so leslie doesnāt came to the funeral. if she was invited at all.
leslie is the kassandra of batman comics... leslie is the only person who will let bruce into her house, but not batman. and yet at the same time she sparsely comes to his home at all, and maybe that's because she would have to scream and say: "the house is reeking blood!" (as kassandra says in carson's take on aeschylus' agamemnon)
