宇宙(そら)に架かる虹 / A Rainbow In The Sky

Or rather, spanning space; was a dessert depicting the fatal finale of Char’s Counterattack.

That is, a white, possibly cheesy garnish (Amuro) skewering a maraschino cherry (Char) into a whipped and sour cream popover (the asteroid Axis) to meet a delicious end. Don’t forget the fruity rainbow and the side of psychoframe!

A Rainbow In The Sky was always priced at 1,080 yen, taxes included. It was available at the Akihabara location of Gundam Cafe in April 2018 for the film’s 30th anniversary, though the dessert had additionally been available at the Osaka venue the year prior. Fitting, as “reverse char” (逆シャア) is pretty timeless.

絶望 ドリンク/Despair drink

was a peach flavoured soft drink sold by chara-cre!, A subsidiary of Marion Crêpes that focused on pop-culture cross promotions and—judging from their current website—online gambling spam.

Despair, also known as “Zetsubo” drink, is named after the overarching emotional theme of Dangan Ronpa. There have been multiple despair drinks over the years, such as the fruit mocktails of King of System karaoke, but those of chara-cre! were most truly despairing.

Blood-pink and ungarnished, despair drink consisted only of peach syrup and carbonated water. That is, it did from November 3rd-30th, 2016. A later promotion less than a year later lists the main liquid as cider instead. Mere rephrasing perhaps, but at 500 yen a pop, you’d hope Monokuma himself snuck in some booze.

シャリア・ブルの エビフライ木星プレート/Challia Bull's Fried Shrimp Jupiter Plate

was an entrée available at 29 locations of RAKU SPA as part of a Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX promotion held June 19 to July 15 2025. Presumably at the Cafe & Bar section of the onsen franchise, though “baths inspired by the characters” were also available.

Challia Bull’s Fried Shrimp Jupiter Plate consisted of a Ebi furai prawn and omurice with an unnaturally green sauce and approximately one potato, all garnished with lettuce and (apparently) tartar sauce. The green goo, dyed to match the character’s uniform was evidently prone to congeal.

At 1,980 yen (tax included but admission not) Challia’s Jupiter Plate cost well above the spa franchise’s typical edible offerings. As entering the spa costs a fee and re-entry is prohibited, customers are incentivized to linger a while, much like how the mass of planet Jupiter left Challia and his comrades stranded in it’s inhospitable gravity. Well, not so similar that guests are driven to the brink of suicide, one hopes.

“We got fucked uuuuuuuup,” they rasp to themself. It’s halfway to a new song already. We got fucked up, uhn, uhn, we got fucked– “Wait, who’s ‘we’?”

Mercedes-Benz Atego Skydancer 7.5 RV Prototype, 2014. Campervan-maker Skydancer UG presented this convertible RV at the Caravan Salon in Hanover, Germany. The passenger compartment on the upper deck was covered by a sliding roof that rolled back to open up the 4-seater cabin. Downstairs there was accommodation for 4 people including kitchen, bathroom and everything you'd expect to find in a land yacht. The Atego 7.5 was for sale at the show and Skydancer said they would build more if there was demand but I'm not sure they ever did.
