what are some inspirations for your art?

Sorry that it took me a while to answer. I don't take inspo a lot, at least not intentionally; most of the time I js pull from the ol' noggin. There are def a few examples that I've studied from here n there; I list a few off the dome, plus its a good opp to talk about stuff i like 💀:

MEDIA: - Yo-kai Watch (of course) - I was practically raised on ykw so aspects of it are probably somewhere in my art I js don't know what specifically 💀. Also, this and naruto is what probably got me into mythology. - Naruto / Kishimoto - Same case as ykw. -EarthBound / Mother | I love Earthbound's sorta kitschiness and blend of mundanity and sci-fi (among every thing else). I try to implement the setting vibe in my own webcomic (I should probs post my ocs more lol) - My Life as a Teenage Robot | Very pretty show that led me to aim for simplicity a lot more. ARTISTS: - @/ANZI_401 on Twitter | I don't think they post art anymore but I've still saved what they have. I love their ykw art, especially their sketches. The art style looks very familiar though, I can't explain it.

- @/hoaxghost | They have probably my favorite angel designs; they're simple but have an ethereal vibe.

- Yoh Yoshinari | I have an art book of his sketches. Sometimes I'll look through it for posing ideas, or js to scan the nice art in hopes I absorb his skills. OTHER: - 90s magazines - I js like 90s shit. I pull from them whenever I don't wanna draw too crazy a bg.

- UPA Style and Hanna-Barbera | shape language, simple abstract backgrounds, wacky characters. I watched cartoon network and boomerang a lot lol.
