Hello and welcome! My name is Z located in PST, 30+ yrs old and been writing for much too long, but it’s a hobby I love all too much. Activity varies. This is a sideblog - messages will come from magikldreams. Mun has ADHD and is slightly disorganized or overly excited at times. Bare with me.

I am huge for plotting/screaming about muses. I wanna hear all about them - both canon and OC. Otherwise, send some memes and we can take it from there!
I write anywhere from para to novella (this with extensive plotting and discussions). I keep my replies as simple as possible which means i use small text, italics and/or bolds at times, but not much else. I sometimes mix past/present grammar, i apologize! And i use long para's for replies. Graphics wise: undetermined.
If you like a plot idea that i share, or a wanted shipping post, then chances are high that i am taking this as you wanting it too/come at me with it.
Don't god mode, of course. Please push the story forwards, it's very disheartening when a writer only reacts/responds directly to what i sent without further context to go off of.
I am such an addict for shipping. I will write some taboo things such as age-gaps, dark romance vibes, stalkers, enemies to lovers, affairs, etc. Although, normally i am very careful about approaching said subjects and will always confirm triggers & preferences beforehand.
one of my all time favorite canon facts (one of few) is that sleeping (literally) beside zee is in fact Life Endangering. your girl has a tendency to use magic in her sleep without knowledge of it. this can lead to some humorous/dangerous/potentially life threatening situations. if it's casual - she will always slip out on you. when it comes to friends (diana, bruce, anyone from the league, etc.) she will sleep in a separate room or stay up all night.
the only one that has been brave (or stupid) enough to risk it is johnny boy and that's because risking his life isn't new to him. she lets him get away with it.

" bruce sighs. one hand slides through his hair and he can feel his fingers cracking through the light layer of gel used to uphold the pristine businessman persona for the rest of the world. he'd already loosened his tie so he could breathe and his hands are shoved into the pockets of his trousers.
" i know things haven't always been easy here. " the unspoken part of that statement being that bruce very much understands some of that is on him. several members of his family make it abundantly clear he's not the easiest person to get along with. most days it doesn't bother him because he does what he does for very specific reasons. chief among them is keeping his family alive.
but, zatanna is different and always has been.
" if you don't want to help, i completely understand. i just know i could use the expertise on this one. "
a sigh left her, looking away with a shake of her head, "you know i would never leave you hanging. if you need me, then i am here for you." this wasn't the type of work that he should be involved with, though. as strong and brave as he was, something that couldn't be denied, he was just a human. as harsh as that reality could be, she wasn't wrong. "there's a reason you don't get involved in my world." he never really did care for the idea of magic
everything has a logical explanation, zatanna.
yeah - in his world perhaps. she never pressured him to think otherwise, but she believed it left him a bit ill prepared for when her world invaded his. zatanna shifted in her spot tapping her toe against the ground. "how about you tell me what's going on, then i'll figure out a way to fix or end it."
he understood what she felt and why she felt it. of course he did but ... he did what he had to do for them. for her. he had no regrets there and he would honestly do it all over again if needed. he gave a shake of his head, "'lright. could use a bloody cig." he confessed as he reached into his jacket as he began towards the door ahead of himself. maybe a little fresh air would be good for him. little poluted air anyway.
she leaned back in her seat, tapping her pen against the table in a steady rhythm. zatanna drew a deep breath and very casually muttered, "setteragic raeppasid." this man's constant push to test the limit of his lungs was entirely beyond her. a countdown began in her head, 3.. 2.. 1.. blue hues swung up with an innocent smile as he came back inside. "i was thinking more a drink and some food, rather than testing your lung capacity." zatanna stood up and used magic to change her outfit. "real sustenance john."

Mirrors her DC life. She’s a stage Magician using her powers to wow her crowds who constantly thinks she’s merely good at fooling the crowd. Zatanna is linked to the Avengers when needed, assists doctor strange when called upon, and works well with magic types and the X-Men.
Zatanna is a medium that goes around from place to place assisting families that are having unexplainable events in their homes. She assists with hauntings, possessions, and more. When families are displaced due to a haunting, she uses her trust fund to help them get back onto their feet and be on a path to recover from their trauma. You won't find her as a stage magician, but a well known heiress that's been in the spotlight since she was a young girl due to her natural abilities. When her father passed away, he left everything to her. There are times when the police will ask for her assistance on certain cases.
In modern times, Zatanna owns a Metaphysical store and has Clairvoyance abilities. Naked yoga is her favorite, she owns a cat named Luna, has been known to aid paranormal investigations, and is a well known stage magician. She's gotten herself into trouble a few times with the law after running tables at casino's but that's what bail money is for. She reads tarot for customers and is a well-known mentor in the occult community.
Zatanna is head of JLD, a show magician in Vegas, and now Prime Magus in charge of all magic, spells, hexes, and curses. She lives in Shadowcrest and actively works with the JL as well.
Her default world is split into three parts as follows:
When she's young and just starting out on her own. Zatanna is working with Nick Necro and John Constantine. She hasn't quite made a name for herself yet. During this time, her father is killed by John, Nick betrays both her and John, and she's a bit lost in what she's doing.
She's figuring things out, done a few solo things, and has connected with the JLD members. Zatanna is doing world tours for her magic shows, is a bit of a B list celebrity, and constantly studying to better her power.
She's now the leader of JLD and settling into her role as Prime Magus. Her plate is constantly full, but she wouldn't change it for anything. Zatanna has found her purpose and finally has a better understand of who she is and what she's meant to be doing.

There are few things that I enjoy from the more recent comic runs. The most important - is Zatanna's new role as the Prime Magus. A role that hasn't been filled in a millennia. She has her greatest adversaries at her beck and call, my favorite being Allura kept in her magician's hat as a bunny and assistant. She's come so far as a homo magi and it shows in her strength, will, and control.
Her role now consists of being the overseer of all magic. This includes spells, hexes, monsters, sorcery, overseer of realms, a guardian, a leader, and a guide for all things mystical/magical. Zatanna is in a very powerful role, that she's taking seriously but with a kind and pure heart. Her sense of duty always lies within a realm of making things better, keeping earth and other realms safe, all the while controlling and guiding chaotic magic.
She went from a solo magician, to a team member, to leader of the JLD, and now sits on a throne watching over everything as she can.
Shadowcrest is the same size as Wayne Manor, however the inside is much grander and more expansive due to all the magic that the house holds. It's an impenetrable fortress that protects itself and calls on very ancient magic that not even Zatanna, or her father, could understand. There are areas of the home that are completely block off including from Zatanna herself. Mystical items that the house phases out if someone gets too close to them (looking at johnny boy). It's the ultimate safe haven for dangerous magical items that cannot be destroyed.
