FEMALE HEAD, Mycenae, Greece
Large-scale figural art is very rare on the Greek mainland. The painted plaster head of a woman, goddess, or, perhaps, sphinx found at Mycenae is exceptional. The white flesh tone indicates that the head is female. The hair and eyes are dark blue, almost black, and the lips, ears, and head-band are red. The artist decorated the cheeks and chin with red circles surrounded by a ring of red dots, recalling the facial paint or tattoos recorded on Early Cycladic figurines of women. Although the large staring eyes give the face a menacing, if not terrifying, expression appropriate for a guardian figure such as a sphinx, the closest parallels to this work in the prehistoric Aegean are terra-cotta images of goddesses.

A comic to try and sort through some difficult feelings about being an artist and a reminder to not forget who you are.
... pssst... redesign the cuphead devil an king dice... psst...
these were a fun challenge admittedly!
i wouldn’t change dice all that much tbh… i really like his og design in terms of his head and body. i really like cab in a long suit like this:
so i decided to use it for my dice redesign. dice would fucking rock a zoot suit, let’s be real.
i’m also a sucker for those classic devils of the era where they’re decked in red and/or a suit, and got facial hair salvador dali would envy. my devil’s less a muppet born of hatred and more your classic mephistopheles.
here’s the two together like that one shot in the beginning of cuphead too
God the dice's day off made ma laugh so much but imagine one day he fights with the devil again and tries to storm out but as soon as his perfectly polished shoe touches the threshold the entire casino fucking tackles him like they're all ex footballers
JUST A TEN PEOPLE PILEUP AT THE DOOR, FORCING DICE AND THE DEVIL TO TALK ABOUT THEIR PROBLEMS LIKE EMOTIONALLY MATURE ADULTS OR ELSE THE CASINO GETS SHUT DOWN FOR LIKE A WEEK WHILE DICE TAKES THE KIDS WITH HIM
