so i just sat down to eat my ‘im really drunk meal’ at 4am and sat next to this guy drawing and asked if i could check out his work and this is what he had just finished working on
since my last job i had forgotten about the "don't talk" phase!!!!
it's soooooo funny to me.
picture this, my coworkers already think it's weird that i have long hair. that's the level we're working with.
and then every time i open my mouth, only the most faggot shit comes out it!!!! like genuinely i TRY to be normal but i can't help it.
so to combat this, i implement the "don't talk" phase, which is "no talking unless talked to" until i have job security. if i can get fired from one day to the next DO NOT be an outrageous faggot day in day out.
and even then i manage to fuck it up! i sound gay as fuck every time i open my fucking mouth. it's hard to give examples because it's all in my native language, but even trying to respond to basic questions i sound like i'm on rupaul's drag race.
because i was raised as a girl, i'm actually a rare type of effeminate guy where they didn't try to kill me for it my whole childhood, so it's really deeply engrained in all my mannerism and speech patterns. i'm limp wristed, i stand in contraposto, i put my hands on my hips and it's so natural for me that i don't realise i'm doing it.
the don't talk phase is not about hiding that i'm gay because that's not feasable for me. it's about not being so over the top that those who think it's tacky develop a dislike for me.
like i'm a dishwasher in an institution, the closest workers to me are line cooks, it's a pretty macho culture, i try not to offend sensibilities basically.
so yeah, fun times at work cringing at myself when instead of saying "oh, really? 🤨" i say "oh my god! 🫢"
holy shit
The rise of bodybuilding as something apparently like 50% of any random normie straight boys do is so crazy to me like what a cultural victory for gay faggotry. You're out here looking like a tom of finland wet dream and you know it's not for women because most cishet women in my experience want a guy who's either fat + strong or who looks like a flimsy wet piece of cardboard
I understand some of you are 19 but that is not an old man, he's 32.
I think a lot of people have trouble understanding transgender issues because they try to see themselves as trans, but come at it from the wrong direction. e. g. a cis woman tries to understand transness by going, “what if I felt like/wanted to be a man” when she should be approaching it as “what if I, a woman, was so easily mistaken for a man that I had to pretend to be one”,
And I think this is something to keep in mind and to explain away when trying to get these matters across to people who’re new to the idea.
