After getting adopted, Jason had to be told it was okay to get angry. It was okay to be mad at the world, at Bruce, at the kids at school, at the douche at the gala. It was okay to be angry, he wasnāt on the streets anymore, getting angry wasnāt a precursor to becoming a villain, he wasnāt powerless anymore. Bruce would help him when he was angry, would try to understand him, wouldnāt beat him for yelling. Jason was told it was okay to be mad about the injustices in his life so he got mad. He came back from the pit and he was scared and sad and mad so he went to the one person who ALWAYS tried to understand him and Bruceāhis fatherāshowed him that to be angry was to be vulnerable. Bruce tried to kill him, calling him the very thing heād avoided anger out of fear of becoming: a villain.
Bruce told him it was okay to be angry. Then he slit his throat for being angry.
