i like to think that steve gets along with the lesser appreciated school staff. when he was doing basketball, he often got injuries and had to go see the nurse. after seeing her so many times, she became really fond of him. she ended up being an adult figure he could lean on whenever he needed help or support. after all, it's not like his mom was ever home. sometimes he'd skip class or go see her during downtime to gossip with her.

he's also fond of the janitors. on the days he would end up staying after school, he always felt wrong for not helping out. they'd have him do busy work so that he wouldn't feel entirely useless. during the day, he'd smile and wave and ask how they were doing in passing.

it just seemed like common courtesy to steve. to be polite to the people who serviced himself and other students. especially since they always seemed so under-appreciated

an angel, whose purpose is to serve and devote themselves to god, who can’t love anything more than them. an angel saying that he feels complete not only by another being (which is already huge) but by a demon !!!

i can’t imagine a greater love confession, not from aziraphale, who always tried—even forced himself—to have faith in god’s plan and intentions, to serve her blindly and to be on her side and her side only.

aziraphale, who barely dared to speak to her when asked, now standing his ground at the boundaries of a universe that already ceased to exist, with nothing left to lose, and nothing left to fight for. speaking up for himself, blaming god for his own misery, for creating someone so perfect for him but never letting him live that love openly and freely. they spent 6000 years dancing around each other, pretending they weren’t an us, because he couldn’t go against the ineffable plan, against his purpose as an angel, against god. meanwhile, god didn’t care at all.

and now here they are, god, satan, aziraphale and his other half, one step away from eternal nothingness, from complete and cruel erasure. and here he is, this angel who in his lord’s face confesses his love and devotion to the one who actually inspired him, who showed him what pure kindness and selfless, unconditional and stubborn love really look like. not the almighty herself, but crowley. the best of god’s angels according to aziraphale, and probably the one who was hurt by her the most.

crowley completes aziraphale, he makes him feel whole. and in the end, crowley is the one aziraphale chose

The kids are fully convinced Steve is dying. Or at least very very very sick.

He’s been having headaches more often lately and he’s been to these mysterious “appointments” that he refuses to tell more about. And last but definitely not least: Eddie’s been driving him around more often than not now. Not only with Eddie’s own car either, no. Steve has let Eddie drive his BMW. So yeah he is definitely a goner and the kids are panicking and catastrophising this in 3-2-1-

They have to do something to help Steve. Anything but ask and confront him about it obviously tho.

In reality.. Yes, Steve has had more headaches lately. Because his eyesight is shit and that flares up his migraines. So he is finally seeing (heh) a doctor about it, hence the “appointments”. He is gonna need glasses and he’s not quite okay with that idea yet (convinced the kids will also make fun of him) so he is being little secretive about it.

And when it comes to Eddie driving him around? Well his migraines occasionally come with aura now so with poor eyesight and funky little rainbow zigzags in his vision it’s better not to drive himself.

Also he is not so against someone else driving his car as the kids seem to think. He just doesn’t want any of them near the wheel, thank you very much. And Robin still can’t drive so Eddie really is the only option here. And idk, maybe he has learned to appreciate passenger princess lifestyle too.

And for real it’s Eddie who’s gonna die after he sees Steve wearing his new glasses for the first time
