listen ,,, all I'm gonna say is thumbnails are thumbnails,, they pick whatever the people wanna see, so ofc shayne is gonna be on them, bc the people love shayne. he's not on EVERY thumbnail either. and regarding OKN, during the shutdown they're the ones who (I believe) decided they wanted to try new things, and it's not like they're missing completely?? they're been in p much most of the smosh main videos, and in a few sg. but you gotta remember that they film things in bulk, so of course if they're not there on a film day they won't be in videos for a while. it's not like they're gone forever and they will be back! I get wanting to see more of them though, but don't blame mythical or ian, courtney, damien and shayne for just doing their job?????

I’ve seen quite a few people saying that thumbnailgate isn’t as big a deal as everyone’s making- that it’s about the algorithm, popularity, views and business at the end of the day. Which I agree with and understand- but if Smosh wants to continue being a brand that celebrates diversity and inclusivity of all people, having the two conventionally attractive white male and female cast members in a majority of their thumbnails is not a good look. I doubt there’s any ill intention with the thumbnail choices- but I think they really need to rethink how they’re going about this if they want to maintain the message that smosh is made up of a diverse group of people who are at the end of the day family, instead of strictly catering to a fan base that favours the white cast members and straight ships.

Understand that this is not smosh favoriting people this is a business and if mythical can only hire certain people to be full time and only part time understand THATS HOW BUSINESS WORKS! I’m not trying to be mean but people here who are saying defy was better ya look what happened to them. They hired everyone full time and couldn’t continue keeping everyone so they kept having to make budget cuts and laying off people until the whole company shut down. Everyone is either full time or part time! Nobody is favoriting anyone and for anyone who thinks it’s about race really you think that’s how smosh is hell nah. Understand that everyone does their job well and if you think defy was better just remember this Defy didn’t give smosh creative freedom. Defy discourage Courtney to come out as not straight. Defy didn’t care if they fired someone “they can be easily replaced”. Defy still hasn’t paid smosh or anyone who worked at defy for their last week. Defy only cared about money. Mythical is by far a better environment than what defy was. So instead of saying fuck mythical remember if mythical didn’t save smosh it would be a worse situation like Ian said and they would have ended smosh for good because of it. Let be grateful for mythical please!
