Who’s ready to see our Colorado #adventure? Our vlog is almost ready for the upload. This last day was no joke, just look at the conditions of our decline from the #mountain! Freezing temp, no food, no water... dead cellphones... and all of that after a 3 hour incline. This was extremely tough, but we stayed strong and pushed each other to keep moving. Today was intense 😱 5 hours total hike, with about 2000 feet incline in less than 1 mile. While we made it (barely) to the top (8590 feet), without the right gear or even appropriate shoes on the steep icy stairs, we didn’t know that there was a 4 mile trail ahead of us to get down from the mountain. The trail was very thin, icy, with sudden drops... it was getting dark, we had no food, no water... we used up the last of the phone battery to light up some of the way. The last 1.5-2 miles we were slowly hiking with the help of moonlight. The way down took us about 2-2.5 hours.
