He had the personality of stale bread.
Well, to Zero, anyway. Most people would equate Jumin to the typical, normal businessman that people would see on the streets on a regular basis, but to an outlaw who got his kicks from making kids cry, he was pretty plain and boring. This could either go both ways - he could either get a good reaction from him or Jumin would ignore any advances he would make.
( He seemed pretty annoyed by his question, though. That was a good sign. )
However, his request did make Zero raise a brow for a minute. Seated by many cats? This was a cat cafe, so it wasnât that odd, but a stuffy man like him, wanting to be seated by many cats? This was interesting.
âOf course. Iâll be obedient to your request⊠Right this
   way, sir.â
He purred just a little bit, his words on a dangerous line of inappropriate, but he did his job. Zero led the man to the area with the most cats. The kittens mewed and papped at Zeroâs leg before focusing their attention onto Jumin, where they proceeded to turn their harassment towards. Pulling out a small notebook, Zero flashed him a smirk, tapping the point of the pencil on the pages.
âAside from playing with the cats, I assume you want something
   to drink too?â
... Was this server implying what Jumin thought he was implying?
No, that couldnât be the case. He knew not everyone in the world valued professionalism as much as he did, but commoners wouldnât be so base as to say something like that.
Well, regardless, Jumin chose to ignore it, instead nodding before following him to the table. He had a moment where he watched the kittens swarm the employee and felt... something, but there wasnât enough time for him to try and process it before they began to pay attention to him. In an instant, the foreign emotion fled and a warmth he hadnât felt in months replaced it. Defying all expectations, he started to smile.
Taking his seat, his attention was immediately drawn towards the cats. His previously strict tone softened to an affectionate hum.
âThereâs no need to fight for my attention, I can give all of you the love you need.â He beckoned one cat to hop into his lap while stroking down the back of another one. This feeling, this wholeness, heâd been searching for and craving it. Why hadnât he come here sooner? Such a place was an undiscovered paradise for him. He was almost completely sucked into the feline attention when he recalled that heâd been asked for his order. Shifting back to his more stoic state, he finally answered.
âOh, yes. I was able to glance at the menu. I would like a hot Earl Grey. Itâs a pity you donât serve wine, but I assume drinks like that would ruin the overall tone of this establishment.â
