Survival is one of the most important elements of the game, players must gather resources and start fires in order to survive the harsh weather conditions, the player's physical health and fitness must be constantly monitored.
The game also features various animals, from bears to wolves, which can be both helpful and a threat to survival. Hunting and setting traps for animals allows players to acquire meat and skins.
