Inquisitor Asks | Always Accepting
@thewoundedcoast So sorry for the late reply!! I suck <3
I'm gonna answer these for Edric and Anders both, since Edric is the proper Inquisitor but Anders takes up the mantle post Trespasser when Edric formally dissolves the Inquisition.
8. Which advisor does your Inquisitor like best? Which do they trust the most?
Edric: Edric is significantly older than all the advisors. He's pushing 50 at this point so he sees them all as kids pretty much. Putting trust in them is hard, but he's never really gotten his footing topside and this whole situation is upending everything he did have a handle on. I think out of them all, he's gonna trust Leliana the most. She's brutally honest. She's mercilessly efficient. She reminds him of The Dasher and every other hardened Carta member. That familiarity is worth more than anything. I don't think they're friends, they don't have a whole lot in common outside of Edric's very gradual conversion to Andrastianism (something the Lelianna is actively questioning about herself) but he likes her a whole hell of a lot more than the others.
Anders: Clarifying right now, Anders and Cullen did not know each other at Kinloch. Cullen was a Templar for six months prior to Origins. Anders was in solitary during that entire time. At most, they crossed paths for a couple weeks leading up to the Uldred stuff that precipitated Anders' final run away. They DO know each other from Kirkwall though! Which is hilarious. Definitely makes Cullen his least favorite advisor. I actually think Anders might fire him lmfao. His favorite though is probably also Leliana (I swear I'm not personally biased) for basically the same reasons as Edric. She's honest. She's efficient. She's bloodthirsty and has no limits to what she'll do to see the mages free/Inquisition succeed. Her being his favorite DOES suck though because she become Divine so whoever replaces her when it's Anders' turn as Inquisitor has big shoes to fill.
14. How does your Inquisitor feel about the anchor? Does it bother them?
Edric: He fucking hated it. He genuinely tried to cut his hand off at least once. He'd rather live a cripple than as some weird mage thing. Magic freaks him the fuck out and its unstable nature is the entire reason Lantos isn't around for Inquisition/is only present through War Table Missions and letters.
Anders: He never has the anchor personally of course, but he's very fascinated by it. I'm sure he spends a lot of time talking Edric down about cutting his arm off, inspecting it, trying to attune to the magic to stabilize it via Justice, etc.
22. What mount does your Inquisitor use? Did they name it?
Edric: He absolutely uses the Knuckled Thunderer and drives Lantos mad with jealousy lmao
Anders: Anders is very disabled post DA2 and it only goes further downhill for him from there. In Sun-Touched, he becomes paralyzed below the thigh (he'll recover, but never entirely), and in the interim between DA2 and Inquisition, he manages to lose an arm to a Red Templar. Having a reliable combat mount is extremely important for him to function in the Inquisition, so I think he starts off with a Frostback Mountain Horse and is eventually gifted a very beautiful Anderfel Courser post Trespasser.
