Metropolitan Orthodox Cathedral, Timișoara, Romania

It's located on the Victory Square (Piața Victoriei in Romanian) one of the three main suqares of Timișoara, a city with an incredibly rich history and architecture which earned it a nickname "Little Vienna". The city will also be the European Capital of Culture in the year 2023 . This church was built in 1940, and it's built in the Romanian-native neo-Moldovian style of architecture that is based on the historical Romanian churches and monasteries. The Moldavian style was created under both Western and Eastern influences that were going through the Balkan peninsula, making a beuatiful and easily recognizable style native to the Romanian culture

The Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge, Višegrad, Bosnia and Herzegovina

This bridge is a masterpiece of Classical Ottoman architecture, it was built all the way back in 1577 and with some renovations after WWI it's still standing. Building of this bridge was ordered by the Grand Vezier (equivalent of prime minister in Ottoman Empire) Mehmed Paša Sokolović, who served during the absolute peak of Ottoman Empire under the Sultan Suleiman The Magnificent. Another thing this bridge is famous for is for being a central motif of the Nobel Prize winning novel "A Bridge On Drina" by Ivo Andrić, the only Serbian person to ever win this prestigious prize, which turned this bridge into a legend (I read this book and if you like historical fiction it's a must read✨)

Regional Ethnographic Museum, Plovdiv, Bulgaria

The building is located in the city of Plovdiv, the cultural capital of Bulgaria whose history and culture stretches back to the ancient times. It's considered to be one of the oldest cities in the world, dating all the way back to the Neolithic age. This building was built in the 1847 by a rich Turkish merchant as a house and since then it served multiple purposes until the museum was established in 1938. Its architecture is the perfect showcase of mixing the western Neo-Baroque styles of 19th century and eastern Ottoman style

Central Post Office in Skopje, North Macedonia

The capital of today's North Macedonia and one of the largest cities in Ex-Yugoslavia, Skopje, was hit by an earthquake of magnitude 6.1 in 1963 which destroyed 75%-80% of the city. The reconstruction, was done in multiple phases. This post office was built in 1974 and it's one of the prime examples of the brutalist architecture of Ex-Yugoslavia. Concrete decoration in front is meant to represent a lotus flower which symbolises the rebirth of earthquake-torn Skopje

Luža Square, Croatia

The Luža Square is the main square of the gorgeous Baroque town of Dubrovnik (known as Ragusa in Italian). It's located on the end of the main pedestrian street in Dubrovnik, called Stradun. During its history spanning from 12th to 18th century, this square it was the main place of gathering in the town. On the images we can see the main clock tower of the city and the cathedral of St. Blaise.

Manasija monastery, Serbia

The monastery was built in the early 15th century by a Serbian despot (an equivalent of a lord) Stefan Lazarević together with the protective walls that served to protect the monastery from the Ottoman invasion. It's built in the Morava style, a distinct style of Serbian sacral architecture that emerged after the fall of Serbian empire in 1371. Due to its protective walls, it's on the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage for Serbia.
