Metropolitan Orthodox Cathedral, Timișoara, Romania
It's located on the Victory Square (Piața Victoriei in Romanian) one of the three main suqares of Timișoara, a city with an incredibly rich history and architecture which earned it a nickname "Little Vienna". The city will also be the European Capital of Culture in the year 2023 . This church was built in 1940, and it's built in the Romanian-native neo-Moldovian style of architecture that is based on the historical Romanian churches and monasteries. The Moldavian style was created under both Western and Eastern influences that were going through the Balkan peninsula, making a beuatiful and easily recognizable style native to the Romanian culture
