some friends reactivated my guild wars sleeper agent programming and now there's an asura here
she's also on artfight
[putting on my "responding to story developments 10+ years late because I'm replaying stuff I've fully forgotten" hat]
It's not like I have an issue with Eir dying, Destiny's Edge has clearly run its course and the characters having separated lives and fates is cool, but did they have to make it feel so blatantly like she was just Braham development fodder... man
Like I love Braham. I do. And losing his mom right after starting to reconnect with her is a great tragedy and I love that for him.
But why did she like. Not get to be a character in that scene. You're telling me a woman whose greatest regret is letting someone die to a dragon doesn't even get to fight? She doesn't get to shoot this stupid vine beast and get killed in a way that protects her son?? Anything???
I get it's meant to be shocking and upsetting, but it doesn't need to feel pointless, you know? And it's adding insult to injury that she gets screwed into this position by someone she doesn't even know lol... her friend's ex who she's never even met AFAIK and stabs her to both their detriment Just Because? Ok sure #girlpower
Anyway it just feels clumsy. Very "uhhhh well she has to die for his character development it doesn't matter how!" Augh
lucky largos combat tonic drop for me

GW2CC Art Fight revenge for @ilona-art

Thinking about icebrood again. I think Smodur's downfall could have been really, really good if they had presented it slightly differently. I think Smodur was so terrible a war criminal because he was so good a charr. The legions are at a turning point where they're not fighting against everyone anymore. They've made peace and now allied with humans. They've reunited with the flame legion. The nature of their society is changing in ways that are, historically, very un-charr-like, and Smodur is pretty much the model for a perfect charr. Instead of having him be reckless and aggressive in a way that doesn't quite fit his earlier characterization, it would make more sense if he was coming from a place of "We've never shown mercy to our enemies before. Why should that change just because the enemy is other charr? It's standard in the legions to kill your superior to take their rank. Killing our brothers and sisters is nothing new. Didn't you yourself just attack Bangar at the all legion rally, Rytlock?" It's not that he changed for the worse, it's that the world is changing around him. The only thing separating him from the dominion isn't a difference in ideology, just that the dominion happen to be traitors to the legions, and traitors get executed. It's his job to execute them. "Why do you all look so horrified at me now? I'm just doing what we've always been doing. You do it too. Don't act like you feel guilty." There could have even been unique dialogue for charr commanders challenging them, for example if they chose to execute their father in the personal story
Silly lil revenge (gw2cc, not artfight!) for @cescorose of Balagan + Green (the moa) ft my horrible Gretch.
She's feeling left out of all the pact action and wants to experience battle too. Do not assume she has malicious intentions! She's just... enthusiastic.
She will be sitting on Greens head and nibbling on Balagans shroom during their travels :)
Ritualist has voice lines??
And they’ve been listed under item chatter instead of player chatter this whole time?

GW2CC attack on @red-wood-reaper with Sadhbh, based off old Dr. Strange comics! Is it a Silver Age comic if it doesn't look like the artist was on LSD?
