Happy Holidays from the Ballet San Jose Trainees! Celebrate the season on Sunday, December 15 at 8:00pm at the gorgeous Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph, with a FREE performance of new choreography and classical favorites! The Trainees and students from Ballet San Jose School will perform new works by Dalia Rawson and Mads Eriksen, as well as classical variations coached by Le Mai Linh as part of St. Joseph's free series of performances "Seasons of Hope." American Ballet Theatre Principal dancers Julie Kent and Marcelo Gomes will dance the balcony pas de deux from Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Romeo and Juliet next month as part of Ballet San Jose's 2013 Benefit Gala. Buy tickets to see Ballet San Jose dancers and a dazzling cast of international guest artists (including Julie Kent and Marcelo Gomes) on November 16 in San Jose!

Here they are performing the White Swan pas de deux from Swan Lake. Beautiful!

The school year has begun for Ballet SJ School! As our studios are once again filled with inspired and hard-working students, let's take a look back at the summer with these gorgeous photos of the three casts of Principals who performed Swan Lake Act II at our Summer Intensive Showcase. We'll see more of Brittany, Elise, Casey, Ryan and Zachary this season; they have accepted placement in the Ballet San Jose Trainee program! Ballet San Jose's 2013-2014 Season Announced! Featuring Karen Gabay's The Nutcracker, December 13-26; 7 Company premieres by Twyla Tharp, Paul Taylor, Ohad Naharin, Dwight Rhoden and more; and a November 16 benefit gala:

An evening to benefit Ballet San Jose and honor and welcome new Artistic Director José Manuel Carreño, featuring dinner, an auction and performance by members of Ballet San Jose and Ballet San Jose School, and guest artists from American Ballet Theatre: Marcelo Gomes, Misty Copeland and Gillian Murphy; from English National Ballet: Artistic Director and lead principal dancer Tamara Rojo; from New York City Ballet: Gonzalo Garcia, Joaquin De Luz, Daniel Ulbricht and Megan Fairchild; from Boston Ballet: Lorna Feijoo, Nelson Madrigal, Adiarys Almeida and Joseph Gatti; other artists and program to be announced.
