Inktober 4th and 5th! You thought I’d forgotten, didn’t ya. :P
Inktober 3rd! - At school I’m currently working on posing and animating Saoirse from Song of the Sea - featuring a stick! We’re talking very graceful stick-action, so naturally I ended up looking at Fred Astaire tap dancing with his iconic cane for reference. What else? Sooo straight from my sleep-deprived mind: Here’s Saoirse Astaire doing her thing in nearly dried-out marker. Woohoo!
Good night!
Inktober 2nd! This is probably the dumbest thing I will ever post on my blog... as of yet. We have a “Poke-thon!” going on in my class, and every time you get tagged you have to draw the next pokemanz in line. I got to draw Blastoise, and with a back like his, you need a big, bad biker vest. Just occured to my I should have given him a “B.A.C.A”-vest and not... this. Oh well. No going back with ink. Now to do homework!
Y’all know what day it is. :D It’s Inktober 1st! Have an inky doodle of me quietly melting in the corner while all my class mates are doing short films and comic anthologies and freelance illustration in their spare time.
And on that note, I will go rest. Hope you all are enjoying your sundays! :)
Tiny thumbnails that I really liked but I made them the night before the portfolio deadline so I didn’t have time to incorporate them in the portfolio in a nice way so now I’m just uploading them here because I still like them a lot aaaaaaaah
So I heard u liek teal and orange? :D The quickest of doodle sketches that I really hope I get to work some more on come next week. My sister’s getting married on Sunday and I’m moving on Tuesday so things are a tiny bit hectic.
For my 100th post on tumblr (!!!) I’m trying something a little different. This is my take on Kahla, a supporting character from the Wildwitch book series by Lene Kaaberbøl.
Tiny gestures from real life. I like people.
Li’l ol’ lady (and her hands and movements) from my sketchbook.
My hand is okay and I am back in business! I won’t be updating daily, I don’t think my hand or my sanity will be able to keep up, but I will stick to updating every Tuesday and Thursday and see how that goes. :) Might go down to once a week once school starts, but let’s see. :) Starting with some sketches from a dream I had about being spied on by an unsettling amount of birds in a house that looked like it was built by Friedensreich Hundertwasser. I really like it when my dreams get architechtural. The houses I build in my subconscious are a lot of fun.
Overworked drawing hand :/
Hello good people on the interwebs who follow me and my drawing shenanigans. I’ve overworked my wrist/hand/arm/drawing limb and so I haven’t been able to keep up with tumblr. And just as I’d gotten to the admissions test of my dream art school. Ahahahaha the irony. I’m going to see a physiotherapist ASAP and hopefully I will get back into shape soon. But yeah. Just an explanation for the silence, to those 5 of you who might be expecting content from me ;) Thanks for liking and following my stuff. It means a lot. Take care out there in the real world!
11/288 - Apparently, true acting happens at the Optometrist. I recently learnt about Ed Hooks and his teachings after attending a lecture he gave in Viborg. I’ve also got his books at the library and there’s a certain place, where every time I read over it, I am reminded about the one time I went to an optometrist and had to walk on a straight line and catch a ball while avoiding a swinging pendulum and answering questions about my family. Talk about having your character “play an action in pursuit of an objective while overcoming an obstacle.” (From “Acting for Animators” by Ed Hooks) I can recommend his books! Always nice with food for thought!
10/288 - My parents were sweet and took me to Vienna so that’s why I’ve been absent. :) Me and my mom being huge fans of Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt, we went to see ALL the exhibitions. This was a drawing I made back at the hotel after yet another day of erotic sketches and ladies with long hair xD
8/288 - More timed painting assignments, now with a limited palette. I’ll get the hang of this eventually. Hopefully... xD
7/288 - Once again cool things pop up in my facebook feed! This time it was a collection of photos from london in the 30′s. :) In case you’re interested, here is the link: http://www.vintag.es/2017/03/38-fantastic-photos-capture-street.html there are some gems in there, especially the photos of children, I think. :)
