Some beta kiddos for the big day. (+some thoughts I been having about HS recently)

10 years. Its been 10 years since it left us. And its been 10 years since I first came across this webcomic-video game-shitpost-thing(?)

It feels strange knowing that I have been apart of this accursed fandom for over 10 years now, mainly because I remember first getting into it and feeling like I was very new to everything.

But nowadays, I feel as I am now considered an oldhead in this fanbase especially with the new surge of fans that was brought on by that animated pilot that came out last fall. That pilot, uh, was definitely something…

I said this a few years ago but I still think its true, Homestuck, for better or for worse is probably the most influential piece of anything in my life and I don't really know if there is anything that is going to be significant, well at least for awhile.

Despite my mixed feelings on the pilot, last fall was the first time in a long while that I felt positively about where this property was going, mainly because there was actually stuff happening outside of HS^2.

That being said, my optimism has waned at little because I have yet to hear any news of anything else happening beyond they are shopping the pilot around and What Pumpkin is still working on Hiveswap act 3(?) but I admittedly haven't been paying close attention since I am not nearly as locked in as I used to be.

I should probably give the original a reread, its about time…

Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.

If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.

Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.

This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!
