OKAY, a less cryptic explanation of this post. 

Since Flomarching lowkey wants to commit highway robbery, I know most of us didn’t purchase the premium access for DCI this summer, and since I’ve severally not been active on reporting DCI news this tour, I wanna give yall a nice treat.

I was able to get all of the corps (except Crossmen) semifinals run-throughs last night, and I’ll be broadcasting it on Rabb.it (My Room). 

I don't want any ops on our asses so I’ll turn my room private at 6:45pm EST.

Of course, it’s not going to be “live” but we are going to go according to the Finals Line-Up, so you get to hear my voice (and maybe see my face?!?!?) during breaks.

hey did anyone hear the news that scientists have actually been able to figure out the most common key that old pirate shanties were sang in

imo it’s really interesting? like, they found and analysed lots and lots of sheet music that they suspect was inspired by all these old shanties, since all the music was written by people who are believed to have been former sailors or even former pirates. and the neat part is that statistically speaking almost 90% of them are written in the same key. i mean, obviously it’s not confirmed 100%, but it looks like almost all pirate shanties were sang in a high C

So I won DCI I&E so I got to go out on the field for the retreat after semi finals. After Spirit of Atlanta’s semis run, we loaded the truck for the last time, and I had to get my uniform off before the truck left. So I went about the rest of my day holding my uniform. About 15 minutes before I had be under Lucas Oil Stadium I realized I made a huge mistake. I thought it would be funny to throw my shoes and socks on the truck when we loaded as a “surprise” for next year when they unloaded at auditions. The truck had left already and I had to go get recognized in full uniform. So I was literally going around asking random people on the street if they had an extra pair of black socks. I found one of spirits cymbal players from 2014 and rhythm x, and I told him my problem. Coincidentally he was wearing black socks at the time. So we switched socks on the spot 5 minutes before retreat and I went on the field with no shoes.

Phantom Regiment returns to the west coast next summer and I am so ready but also pretty tired right now from staying up the last few nights to finish this.
