Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who was murdered on the first day of Pride month as well as Indigenous History Month. He died protecting his trans husband. Homophobia and racism aren’t marks of the past, and this is a heart breaking reminder of that.
Praying for a safe journey back to the spirit world, Uncle ❤️🩹🦅
Today is the anniversary of the death of Jonathan Joss (King of the Hill, Parks and Rec). Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who died protecting his transgender husband, on the first day of Pride month. Today we remember him and how he protected his family.

i know folks are gonna call me a pedo for this one, but i grew up seeing my mom and grandma naked. they had health issues and at times needed care and help showering. and i truly think more kids need to be shown the nonsexual reality of naked women at a young age. there is nothing sexual about my grandmothers breasts, they were simply body parts. more women die of heart attacks because people are too afraid of breasts to do real chest compressions, because they are scared to touch their breasts. the sexualization of our bodies literally kills us. i need people to be more normal about naked bodies and i'm 100% serious.
I grew up around naked old people who weren't even my family! Gasp! And it was a good thing. I grew up around old-school hippies at a place called Lothlorien (in Indiana) and one of my friends dads held a sauna day every Sunday in the middle of the woods (like you cannot drive to their house, you park about a quarter mile away and walk into the woods kind of woods). All day random old people came to get naked, high (pot), and sweaty. Just random old peen and boobs swaying with the leaves. No big deal. These are things that I believe made me more at home in my body, made me more excited about aging, made me more willing to fight for my security and safety.
Bodies are just bodies. Nothing sacred and nothing inherently shameful or sinful either. The fact that we still can't get that through everyone in however many years it's been is just fucking idiotic.
i hate the word “spicy” so much, oh my god. say erotic, sexy, sexual, horny, sensual, hot, attractive, literally anything else. i’m only fucking with spicy if it’s on a menu

“be gay do crime! but sex is yucky and crime is wrong!” ass website
i appreciate this, but in a world where your gay brothers and sisters are being actively punished if not outright killed for having sex—in a fascist society that is trying to make gay sex a crime and has successfully done so in the past, in ways that still harm us today—we have GOT to be there for gay sex and the people having it. it doesn’t make you any less gay not to have sex, but that’s not something bigots are going to take into account, and if they do, it only stands to make you “one of the good ones” and pit you against your siblings and loved ones. whether someone personally wants sex or not, i think we have a responsibility to defend the people who do just as much as the people who don’t.
You can’t even make fun of someone for dating people younger than them anymore without being accused of discoursing. What if I don’t think you’re a pedophile for dating a 24 year old but I do think you’re kind of a lame as hell manbaby who can’t handle mature baddies and it makes me chuckle pointing it out

Two indy horror movies are now outperforming a Star Wars flick at the summer box office; truly the Old Gods are dead.
I feel like we're all just starved for novelty
This is a huge part of the reason I'm sort of over a lot of Nerd Culture™ shit. When it first bust into the mainstream it felt great because wow, a lot of the stuff I thought was cool was getting some mainstream appeal.
Then it felt like there was this convergence of nerdy people saying "If we stop watching/supporting this they'll stop making it!" and large corporate entities realizing "If we keep pumping this recognizable shit out the nerds will keep paying for it," and I'm just... so bored. I've never been so bored by science fiction, comic books, and other fantastic stories.
So I stopped. No more Marvel, no more Star Wars, even my beloved Star Trek is on thin ice. Give me something I've never seen before. Give me new stories that start at the start of the movie and end at the end of the movie.
Again, I maintain that indie productions are where you have to look now.
I do not care about boomers and their property tax. If you can't afford your property tax it's because your house value is too high, which means you're rich.
Oh no you might have to move (and make a million dollars in the process). As a renter I fully expect to have to move several times in the next few years, and I won't get to keep my old place's value
