Of course, these threats of capitalist violence are so credible that few dare to act in ways that will trigger them. But the violence is always there, lurking in the background. Usually, after a disagreement, they suggested i read this or that, often Marx, Lenin, or Engels. I preferred Ho Chi Minh, Kim Il Sung, Che, or Fidel, but i ended up having to get into Marx and Lenin just to understand a lot of the speeches and stuff Huey Newton was putting out. It wasn’t easy reading, but i was glad i did it. It opened up my horizons a hell of a lot. I didn’t relate to them as the great white fathers or like some kind of gods, like some of the white revolutionaries did. As far as i was concerned, they were two dudes who had made contributions to revolutionary struggle too great to be ignored.

i hate asking for help or publicly speaking about my problems but ive recently been kicked out by my parents, they luckily gave me some time to figure out what to do and where to go so i can still stay at home and pack but i have very little time. i recently turned 18 in january and i dont have a job, im in my senior year of high school and at a huge risk of not graduating on time due to my very low grades. i need housing until august depending on my situation, ill try to get a parttime job because i dont want to be a freeloader and if i have to take another year of high school to fix my gpa and graduate ill just couch hop. i just need money and somewhere secure without having to worry about anyone moving out anytime soon. housing in NYC is necessary and i cannot go anywhere else. i currently also cannot live with my boyfriend due to some other circumstances we cant control, i have no nearby family members that i can go to and im terrified to stay in a shelter. i currently have $60 in cash a spare metro card and a student metro card, and i still have to unfreeze my paypal account. i have depression and bpd but im not taking medication or getting therapy yet but i can still manage to socialize well. if you can help me i need to trust that youre secure with your place and that you are able to take me in. i can manage a budget to help pay for rent or whatever but not immediately because i dont work yet. i would prefer people who are at least 20-29 years old and if male you cant be white. im latinx and my pronouns are she/he/they. please send me an ask off anon saying your age and that you can definitely help me out and that you live inside NYC. please keep in mind that if there are going to be several options for me i may deny yours if i have one that ive chosen, so dont start making space for me if i say that im interested, i mean this in the kindest way possible. ill message you more details so we can work out more options. reblogs are appreciated, thank you
