I really don't know what I'm doing lolz. I'm an asexual, biromantic, bigender person who shifts between female and nb. I like to write and draw, though my attention span and motivation like to flip on a dime. I have no schedule and no rules for this, just kinda vibing. My many fandoms include: Pokemon, Gravity Falls, Danny Phantom, Percy Jackson, Steven Universe, Ninjago, Legend of Zelda (+Linked Universe), Hollow Knight, and Undertale. I come up with AUs on the spot, so ask me about any of them and I'll rant for hours.

Cresteds are relatively easy to get. I'd you're lucky, you might be able to adopt them from someone who has to re-home them! That's how I got my first one. They're also relatively low maintenance. It costs a bunch of money to set up the terrarium, but you can make it bioactive so all you gotta do is feed the grubs every once in a while, and feed the gecko, and spritz the cage every day. And honestly it doesn't take too long.

I will say that for fish, I recommend sticking to freshwater. A lot of the fish in the pet industry don't breed in captivity, and so they have to be caught with cyanide and that process destroys a lot of reefs. Thankfully, this is less prevalent in the freshwater side of things.

But do your research!! And don't have koi ponds if your area is prone to flooding, we have enough invasive goldfish as is.

I will also say that from my research, a lot of exotic birds (even just cockatiels and parakeets) suffer in captivity because most of them need large flocks and huge amounts of space. You're fine with the chickens and ducks, but do a lot of research on the conure. If you want a pretty bird that's definitely ethical to own, go for pigeons and doves! They're domesticated so they're used to people, and can live happily with us!

Very much so!! There are a lot of videos on youtube of pigeons and doves being cuddly with humans. Obviously it depends on the individual but they're definitely social creatures.

If I were to get a, say, band tailed pidgeon or ring necked dove, would I need to get more than one? I know some birds can be irritable if not in a flock, but I'd probably be spending a lot of time with it.
