Season 6 has come and gone, but here I am, still salty about Stannis
Stranger Things, my favourite character: Jim Hopper.
He starts the series looking as the stereotypical small town cop, bored and defeated by life. But as episodes proceed, a much more fleshed out figure appears, and he reveals himself as brave, loyal and caring. Plus his backstory is heartbreaking. Loved the series, watch it asap.
Is it just me, or does Captain Flint have some serious Stannis vibes in 2x04?
Black Sails 2x03: Flint’s ultimatum
What then? We return home, only to have Vane extort from us the very prize we sacrificed so much to win? Nassau was unable to resist him. But we have yet to have our say.
So at sunrise tomorrow, we make our terms clear, with no room for bargain or compromise. Charles Vane and the animals he commands have until sunrise tomorrow to vacate the fort, or so help me god....
I will rain holy fire down upon them.
This is Stannis of the House Baratheon, King of the Andals and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm.
make me choose: Stannis Baratheon or Renly Baratheon (requested by @thekingofhell)

“Be done with me, then,” he urged the king. "Take off my head off and stick it on a spear. I slew Lord Eddard’s sons, I ought to die. But do it quick. He is coming.“ "Who is coming? Bolton?” “Lord Ramsay,” Theon hissed. "The son, not the father. You must not let him take him. Roose… Roose is safe within the walls of Winterfell with his fat new wife. Ramsay is coming.“ "Ramsay Snow, you mean. The Bastard.” “Never call him that!” Spittle sprayed from Theon’s lips. "Ramsay Bolton, not Ramsay Snow, never Snow, never, you have to remember his name, or he will hurt you.“ "He is welcome to try. Whatever name he goes by.”
I killed your High Sparrow and all his little sparrows… all his septons, all his septas, all his filthy soldiers.

She narrowed her eyes. "What is our heart’s desire?"
"Vengeance." His voice was soft, as if he were afraid that someone might be listening. "Justice." Prince Doran pressed the onyx dragon into her palm with his swollen, gouty fingers, and whispered, "Fire and blood."

“I am not blind, nor deaf. I know that you all believe me weak, frightened, feeble. Your father knew me better. Oberyn was ever the viper. Deadly, dangerous, unpredictable. No man dared tread on him. I was the grass. Pleasant, complaisant, sweet-smelling, swaying with every breeze. Who fears to walk upon the grass? But it is the grass that hides the viper from his enemies and shelters him until he strikes. Your father and I worked more closely than you know … but now he is gone. The question is, can I trust his daughters to serve me in his place?"
“Nobody will believe it’s possible until we show them.
But when that day comes, you know what they’ll say?
They’ll say that it was inevitable.”

“Have no fear, sers, your king is safe… no thanks to you. Even now, I could cut through the five of you as easy as a dagger cuts cheese. If you would serve under the Kingslayer, not a one of you is fit to wear the white. Here, boy. Melt it down and add it to the others, if you like. It will do you more good than the swords in the hands of these five. Perhaps Lord Stannis will chance to sit on it when he takes your throne.”

“A hall to die in, and men to bury me. I thank you, my lords...but I spit on your pity...I am a knight...I shall die a knight.”
I feel Barristan was truly disliked by D&D, almost as much as Stannis. Not only they made him die like a fool, but also made him die BEFORE his best moments on the pyramid and before the important role he is to play in The Winds Of Winter.

“These pardoned lords would do well to reflect on that. Good men and true will fight for Joffrey, wrongly believing him the true king. A northman might even say the same of Robb Stark. But these lords who flocked to my brother's banners knew him for a usurper. They turned their backs on their rightful king for no better reason than dreams of power and glory, and I have marked them for what they are. Pardoned them, yes. Forgiven. But not forgotten.”
