If you want to become a Kpop celebrity, there is no doubt that this is the time for it. Stars like Kim Hyun Joong, PSY and others are all very wise to make their comeback right now. This is the biggest Kpop spread and love so far, and everyone (Kpop singers) wants a piece of huge fame and love from fans. It's easier for old stars to make new comebacks, but new rookie bands arriving on the scene to cramp BigBang, SNSD and solo singers style? Nope :/. Sympathies for bands like B1A4, U-Kiss and Teen Top, that were only years or months too early for the Kpop industry to catch hold on the rest of the world. While they're still fairly popular, it must be stated that they have missed the Kpop Hallyu Wave . Luckily for U-Kiss they have many fans devoted more globally than Kore-based fans. This is both a let down and positive because while the outer community is recognising them, U-Kiss will be needing the boost and help from Korean fans if they want to be even more globally known. I think most of the reasons why Kpop is so popular now is because of BigBang, SNSD and other bands that had their debut at the right time, or simply have the perfect amount of members, charisma and voice. Sometimes it strikes me that too many of the new rookie groups are having too much plastic surgery in the same style, and they are starting to look too similar to other bands. KARA received much popularity from their song 'Step (It Up)', although I didn't really like their make up, because it seemed too overdone and fake, but maybe that was the affect? It many ways it suited 'Step', but once I saw 'Pretty Girl' and other MVs', the makeup was again too shiny and fake. Comparing their MV makeup and real faces, they look so much more beautiful with less makeup. Moving onto the topic of tomboys in girl groups ~like f(x)~...I LIKE IT!!! :) (not sure about you). I think it's good, but as long as the tomboys aren't stereotyped in real life. e.g. during filming a reality show, members could use the 'tomboy' against their member, snidley or as a joke, but I doubt this would happen. Another upside? LOVING THE DIFFERENT HAIRSTYLES bands have during their careers. bangs, side fringes, dyed hair? As long as it shows attitude and a passion for what they do! :D (im not sure how thats possible though. :P)
