You don't have to grieve alone.
stretching
Endlessly diabolical how you can't say words like rape and suicide uncensored without either being criticised by idiots or punished by conglomerates.
It's not r*pe, it's rape. It's not su*cide, it's suicide. Not unalive, dead. The backbone needs to be reintroduced en masse because softening the blow of these concepts with advertising language does absolutely nothing but allow people unaffected by them to feel not even a sting of what they can do, prompting inaction.
And it's been proven that on certain websites, you don't even face a repercussion for using the words as they are. People just started censoring themselves because they feared the potential lack of views and likes and followers which is so nasty itself.
I attended an anti-suicide seminar in college. One of the big takeaways from it was that stigmatizing suicide increases the rate of suicide, because people who are feeling suicidal feel like they can't ask for help. Every time I see babytalk garbage like 'unalive', I think of that.
Use the real words. Words have power, and they matter.
âïž The Save the Stars Zine Will Be Donating to the SFA! âïž
Thank you for being so patient with us as we navigate our journey with this zine. Last night, all the mods have come to the conclusion that all proceeds for the Save the Stars Zine will be going to the Sarcoma Foundation of America!
The SFA is a wonderful organization that is dedicated to the research of sarcoma cancers and aid for any sarcoma patients. A sarcoma is a rare cancer that originates from the body's connective tissue, and due to its rarity, SFA has done astounding work towards clinical trials and education for this cancer.
We chose this foundation for the life-changing work it has done, and we sincerely hope that you will check out their website, which we will link below!
We can't wait to continue to work on the zine.
đ Grocky Nation Says Fuck Cancer! đ
Sarcoma Foundation of America
Hi! Super excited for the zine, but I'm totally confused! I'm in the server you posted, and it seems like you don't know what's going to happen in the zine itself? Like, you say it's explicitly ROMANTIC grocky, but then say we can draw or write non-romance? Is it romance or not? Because I feel like that needs to be on your website page. Also, I did see that AUs are allowed, which is very neat, but does that mean ANY AUs as long as grocky is the focus? If that's the case, I think it should also be explicitly stated to warn people (like me) who don't care for crossovers/original characters that the zine may contain crossovers - which takes away from this PHM/Grocky zine in my personal opinion. I don't know. I love this idea and everything, but the vagueness of it all is making me really concerned about where my money is going. Thanks!
Hello! The focus is romantic Grocky only, what we say about drawing/writing non romance is for application submissions, which is required to showcase only 1 PHM piece per writer or artist. There is no central theme for this zine, so AUs are allowed but not expected. Currently about half the mod team was knocked out right at the start by being sick so we're still recovering, and one mod had to unexpectedly drop out, so we're reopening mod applications for the moment to fill that space, so we're slowing down slightly on the behind the scenes process, which we are still working towards. There will be a meeting held this week with all the mods and admins to discuss the final details, schedule, and charity options, which we will be revealing as soon as they are all decided.
The reason the zine might seem vague is because there isn't going to be a focus on what kind of setting Grocky is put in, as long as it's Grocky. We deliberately did not put a cap on what content we will be showing so that every person has an opportunity to show what they want to create.
having collaborative ocs with friends will have you saying shit like "what if scimble was bumpus wouldnt that be funny" and then like two weeks later its one of the most important pieces of lore you have
Go! Rocky, Go!
it's crazy how plausible all the shit the corporations do in the murderbot diaries is. that one scene when murderbot was talking to those humans who had signed a 20 year corporate work contract and it asked them if the contract specified 20 years by the standard local calendar or by a proprietary calendar created by the company was downright unsettling đŹ if the ceos of modern earth companies read these books they would probably start crying because the government won't let them do most of this in real life.
hey fun fact this has absolutely happened before. part of the push to standardize time/timezones was because factory employers had clocks set to the pace of their machinery. meaning of the workers were not doing enough, time would run slower until they had reached their goal. there is historical precedent.
Oh this is crazy

wolf 359 is like. what makes us who we are? at what point do we lose ourselves? how hard do we have to try to be noble in the face of oppression and torture? are we our memories? are we more? less? if you make it out but you canât live with yourself, did you really make it out? what makes someone human? but itâs also like. *bwahh* *bwahh* *bwahh* âwhat the hell is happening?â âhera? sitrep!â *boop boop boop* *whoooshhhh* âuhhhhhhhâ âwwwweeeeeellllllâ *clickclackclackclack* âyouâll help me if you ever want to get off this tin canâ
Ok, I know Martin isnât a âLeadâ, but I just find it funny that he crushed on his boss so hard that he tripped into the center of the horror apocalypse.
