Happy New Year! (As of this post, it’s still 2013 where I’m from).

We have too much food again this year. There’s only 4 people in this house. I’d let all y’all have some if I could.

Porchetta w/lemongrass (crispy pig skin guys…*drool*), Filipino spaghetti, Dutch Apple pie, honey glazed ham, roasted chestnuts, palitaw ( rice dumplings that’re rolled in grated coconut and served with sugar and crushed peanuts), bread, keso de bola (Edam cheese), macarons, various fruits for good luck, rice.

So we got my dog a new bed for Christmas that looks like a little sofa couch and we were sweeping the floors so we put it up on the sofa and.... Sofaception!

"Swiss Black Forest Cake" The cake of my childhood (quite literally too since I ate it on my first bday). I might be biased when I say it’s the best cake ever but to me it is.

Dunno why it’s called Black Forest when it lacks cherries but it’s got 3 layers of moist chocolate cake, layers of fresh whipped cream, a layer of rich chocolate mousse, and covered in chocolate shavings.
