Alone in the middle of a desolate wasteland, BarrenClan is a hardy and irritable group of cats. They have lived there for generations, and eke out survival in this unforgiving land. But one of their new apprentices, the bold and curious Pinepaw, is determined to discover the terrible truths buried under the sand, as well as rise to meet the changes coming to his Clan.

What if we were two sides of the same coin. What if i lived in your shadow all my life but found comfort in the darkness and dont know what to do once youre gone. What if youre the only person who understands. What if you have have no idea what i went through. What if we went through the same traumas but ended up with oposite conclusions about our suffering. What if i dont recognize you anymore. What if i see the ghost of my former self reflected through your eyes. What if it never had to go this way. What if this was the only way things were ever going to go
It's really funny to me that I actually spoiled massive parts of the eventual plot for PATFW in my original challenge video, but everyone including me completely forgot about it
Impressive how you managed to make this comic so biage when the protagonist is bright [checks notes] wait no he's only bright in comparison to everything else. Where the protagonist is blue
If you think Pinepaw was a bright color, you should see the protagonist of my first Warriors webcomic.
Hereās some doodles I found in my sketchbook tonight. I think I made them last month, when I was still deciding on if I was going to make this into an actual story or not.Ā
so sorry if this is a dumb question, iām just getting into this series, but in issue 28, why are deepdarkās antlers different in present day compared to the flashback??
Deer antlers grow and shed on a yearly cycle.
In the flashback his antlers were in their late-autumn bone stage. In comic they're still in their velvet spring stage, until they shed in Issue 30. He mentions it specifically.
"Hey Mom" by Jack Stauber but it's Dustfeather and Rainhaze.
Rainkit: "Hey mom?"
Dustfeather: "Hello honey."
Rainkit: "Where do we go when we die?"
Dustfeather: "Oh... Oh... Well, we go somewhere very nice and- and very far away where everyone we love is."
Rainkit: "Mom?"
Dustfeather: "Yes?"
Rainkit: "W-why do I miss people who... Hurt me?"
The moment the Rainkit says 'hurt me' it goes to Rainhaze who is standing over the body of Dustfeather with her blood dripping from his mouth and covering her paws with Ranger and Hacksaw standing behind him while it says: "That's because you're a dummy. Okay? Dum little... Stupid little dum dum." And it cuts to black.
I actually drew a comic with this audio way back into 2022, only with Slugpelt and Pinepaw. One of the first pieces of art I made for PATFW.
This song is trending on my TikTok, and it reminds me so much of the incredible visual symbolism in this comic. This idea would not leave my head till I drew it. These dynamics were most prevalent to me, but I suppose it could also work with Dust / Slug (in terms of how they both acted to their kids) ; or even Past Rain / Present Rain
Oh man, I never saw this fanart! That was a cool trend, I really like how you used it with these characters who have different resemblances to bad paternal figures in their lives. Really nice!!
