"I’ve been visiting Zephyr Town and Echo Village a lot lately," he answered. "And apparently, Lumina wound up getting a job at a café one of my friends works at there, so there’s also that." Bringing her up stung a little and he had to suppress the urge to grimace at Lumina’s name. "The farmer in Zephyr and I are very good friends. You’d be surprised how being bilingual can make an interesting conversation."

Muffy nodded, a twinge of jealousy twinkling in her eyes, which widened a bit at his statement. "Ah, Echo and Zephyr?" The young woman sighed, smiling although shaking her head. "Goodness, I've wanted to visit Zephyr, but I haven't had the time! I guess I'll have to live through you, then." At the mention of Lumina, Muffy's eyebrows lifted, and she smiled proudly. "Lumina got a job?" It wasn't that Muffy wasn't surprised-- She just hadn't taken the younger girl to be someone who would seek out a job. From the looks of the mansion, Romana had plenty of money. "Ah, well that's excellent for her! I'll have to make an excuse to go by there while she's working, then. ♪" She smiled cheerfully, nodding her head as Jack continued, blue eyes bright. "Ah? Well, that's good too!" She smiled humbly. "Nothing much has happened here that I can remember--" The blonde took a sip from her drink. "It's been basically the same, really."

Gray/Muffy

STEEL-WAITING SAID: THANKS. /TAKES A CHUG OF THE BEER AND SETS IT BACK DOWN/ NOPE, NOT FROM AROUND HERE. I’M GRAY.

[smiles] It's nice to meet you, then, Gray. I'm Muffy. What brings you to the Valley? Surely it's not just our vast amount of greenery? ♪

"You haven’t been at the bar, when I went, Muffy," he said with a laugh and grabbed one for himself and popped the cap off with ease. He took a sip right away and nodded from the taste. "It’s good." He scratched his head as he went to the other part of what she had said and added, "But I have been checking out other towns and meeting other farmers."

Muffy raised her eyebrows, taking a swig of her drink. "Ah, so you did come by, at least?" She grinned. "Good. I was beginning to think you forgot about us!" Brushing a lock of hair out of her eyes, Muffy nodded, listening. "Oh? And what sorts of places have you been? And did you meet anyone interesting, learn anything new?" After asking this, she took another sip. She rather enjoyed hearing about other people's adventures.

-Gives a charming smile.- It’s not a problem at all. 

So it’s this ankle, then..? -Kneels in front of her and moves his hand above the hurt foot before pausing.- Ah— I’m going to need to get a better look at it, if that’s alright.

[nods] Y-Yeah, that's fine. [bites her lip nervously and leans down to slowly pull off her shoe, and sets it in her lap, her hands clasping each other anxiously]

"It’s been a long time since we did something like this, Muffy," he said. "Stick around and share a drink." He looked over to her smiling. "It’s never good to drink alone."

Muffy smiled. Truthfully, she was hoping he'd let her stay. "Ah, alright, if you insist~♥" She smiled warmly, and got two bottles from the pack she'd brought. She handed one to Jack, and kept the other for herself, using the scarf she was wearing to protect her hand as she twisted the cap off and set it on the table. "Mm, that's true. So, what have you been up to? I've heard how you've been out and about a lot, but never over to the bar." She pouted a bit, teasing.

-Immediately moves toward her, wrapping his arm around her shoulders and taking her hand, giving the full support of his body.- By the looks of you, it seems very painful. Can you make it to that chair over there? -Nods at a nearby chair.-

[nods, awkwardly shuffling over to the chair he points out, letting out a deep sigh of relief once she has sat down] Hhh-- Thank you-- [pauses for a moment and then nods to herself] Thank you very much.

Jack/Muffy

"Same old, same old," he said. He brought her into the living room and sat down on the sofa. "Put the beer on the coffee table," he said. "It’s cold enough outside to have at least kept the beer cold as well." He laid back into the cushions and sighed. He really could use a drink, after everything that had happened the past couple weeks.

She did as he asked and set the drinks on his coffee table, looking back at him before she sat. "Do you want one now, or...?" Muffy noticed he looked rather tired. "You look exhausted, Jack. I can come back later, if that helps?"

/Walks into the bar, takes a seat, and takes his hat off while looking at Muffy with a tired expression/ Hey, can I have beer?

Of course! [sets down a paper napkin in front of him before she quickly gets a glass from beneath the counter and goes over to the fountain to fill the glass to the brim. She sets it on the counter on top of the napkin] Enjoy! 

[pauses, wondering whether to ask him a question, but decides to, since she's curious] ...I don't believe I've seen you around the Valley before. What's your name?

She walked inside the house, nodding to him. "Ah, nothing much! It was a slow day at the bar, so Griffin said I should take the rest of the day off!" She turned around and beamed at Jack. "And since we haven't spoken in some time, I thought this would be a good way to catch up on things! How have you been?"
