Remus curling up on the potters' couch after a full moon and everyone is careful not to disturb him. When Harry asks Lily and James about what happened they just tell him he is sick. So now Harry is is doing all the stuff Lily does to him when he is sick. Placing his hand on Remus's forehead even though the one year old has so idea what it's for. Placing a wet towel on said forehead. Placing a thermometer in Remus's mouth and reading the random numbers with full seriousness. Pestering his mom to make Remus warm soup which she already made in the first place. Harry covering Remus with his favourite blanket and surrounding him with stuffed toys and sticking stickers on his hands and face whispering 'get well soon uncle moony' under his breath.
If Sirius had a child, realistically speaking he would not be a good father. With Harry sure, he knows how to be on fun uncle duty, but when it comes to being a dad heās really not that great. He has his temper and he is far too proud to go to therapy. He would never actually hurt his kid, thatās a line he promised to never cross. He tries so hard to be better than his own parents but ultimately he falls short, leading to a complicated relationship with his kid.
However I do think that child would somehow get along excellently with Regulus. He would see Sirius favouring Harry, preferring a Potter over his own blood once again and heād step up for his niece/nephew. Not that heād be perfect, but Regulus is far more composed than Sirius ever was. Perhaps unstable in other ways, yes, but clever enough to be some sort of guiding figure to a child.

But he did; slowly, carefully, day by day before the realisation crashed over him like a wave and melted into his flesh and bones; before he looked at Barty across the stage one day five years ago as they were performing one of the songs they wrote together, because what have they ever done without each other, looked at his sparkly eyes and a heartwarming grin on his face as he read the signs fans have made, and he realised thatĀ oh,Ā he loves him.
Even though the epiphany was sudden, unexpected, it wasnāt exactly surprising. After all, who else would Regulus ever fall in love with if not Barty? Who would Regulus ever love as much as he has loved Barty his entire life?
Itās just him and Barty, always have been, just the two of them until the end.
