The most fumbled landing of all times: Last twilight
Oh, MhokDay prefinale you will always be famous. But honestly, everyone and their grandma complained about the ending and I'm one of them as well. So many good decisions in the first 8 eps. Only to make all the bad ones for the rest of the show. I really need my boy Gawin Caskey to come back cause I haven't ranked a gmm show above 7/10 since You are my favourite ended.
The most boring execution of my favourite on-screen couple: The trainee
I love OffGun, I liked the show for the most part. Its here because its their worst one for me. The biggest sin of the trainee was being boring, but maybe its just me slowly but surely getting tired or gmms' plots and production decisions. I'll leave it here and come back later after their upcoming bl to see if I would change my mind.
The prime example of an intresting story going astray: Dead friend forever
Even though this show was really forgettable in the end, i was following it from the first concept trailer and it was one of the most anticipated shows of mine. It had everything to become a good bl-thriller, but got lost in the plotlines, the pacing was weird as well. And the ending, oh god, dont let me start that again. I've written about my thoughts on this piece previously, i dont think i will be rewatching it ever again. The fan theories were the best part though, glad i was there while it lasted!
The show with a lot of potential...but only on paper: Love is better the second time around
Me and my praying circle built from scratch didn't help this series. It went down the hill so fast and the landing was so painful, because everything up until the last two eps was almost perfect to me. I rarely see second chance plots, so i was exited (for nothing, i guess). The actors lethal face cards were the reason i managed to finish it, would not recommend tho!
This was just...well, not a good watching experience: Jazz for two
I dont even know what to say here. It was just not it guys. Zero chemistry, zero cohesivness in the plot, zero interesting actions or decisions. The amount of unnecessary toxicity served as a sweet love story must be studied. Prescribed myself a 10 hour therapy session of blueming and eights sense after this one tbh. Not the strongest year for the KBL in my opinion.
The most unintresting usage of screentime: Theon1yone
It should be illegal to have this much screentime only to fill it with unresolved conflicts and unrequited feelings. They were trying so hard to not move anything and just let it all lay down and stagnate instead. I'm trying to remember some really meaningfull moments between the two main characters but It ends somewhere after the first 6 eps. IF there really will be a second season I hope the show will redeem itself. Until then jailtime.
Honorable mentions: Grey shelter(something was definitely there until it wasnt), I hear the sunspot (for the waste of the beautiful cast and chemistry) and Unknown (for this one specific editing decision)
