Amelia did in fact have a target that was expected to arrive right about now. She remained out of sight up in her nest until the appointed time, gently awoken by the soft tiny beeps emanating from the computer in her brain–which only she could hear, thankfully.
She stretched and yawned, wiggling out of her tarps, grabbing her gun case and removing from it a silencer. She attached it to the barrel of her gun and set it up, looking through the scope for her respective target. He was tall, scraggly looking–and with a child. A young girl.
“Fuck me,” she whispered to herself. She had strong policies against this kind of thing, and she ducked her head in a brief moment of defeat before looking through the scope again. The rest of the patrons of the venue weren’t entirely pleasant looking either. They made the child nervous. And Amelia made her decision.
As one of them reached for the girl, a bullet whizzed from her nest, striking the assailant in the eye, sending him back with blood spurting from the exit wound behind his skull. Others panicked, while a select few started for the man and the girl, and Amelia went after those that reached for the child first; silently, and with surgical precision.
She was careful to aim as far away from the child and her—father? Big brother? Uncle? whatever–as possible. The girl was the man’s shield from her in this case; her pay all but forfeit.
Morticia was keeping her eyes peeled for anything suspicious as she held onto her parental guardian but soon enough she turned to see a man get shot in the head and gasped. “RICK!” she yelled as the other agents scrambled and took out their guns. Rick rolled his eyes and grabbed Morticias wrist, they both started running “ You know It would of been wiser for you guys to just stay hidden but whatever.” Rick said gingerly taking out a ray gun and shoved it into Morticias hand, she fumbled with it but kept a grip on it. “Rick, I can’t shoot them!”
He puts up a shield pressing a button on his belt deflecting the bullets “Sure you can it’s easy watch” he took out his own gun and shot at the agent behind him, blood splattering everywhere. “I can do it and so can the sniper outside around 1km away from us shooting from the outside, probably up a building being able to see us with high-tech bullshit.”
Morticia freaked “ t-Theres a sniper too?! Rick! What the hell! I thought this was just a gig!” Rick shrugged “hey sometimes things don’t go your way. I already knew it was a trap anyway, just wished I could of made it to the top floor or at least the middle floor before this shit broke down.” Rick took out the last remaining agents and went into the elevator with Morticia.
“You knew?! What the hell Rick! Why did you come then? And Why did you drag me into this!?” The girl yelled at her grandfather visibly upset by his lack of remorse and Rick took out his flask and took a swing at it. “ L-Look Morticia if you keep trying to f-figure OAURP-O-Out this shit you’ll go bonkers. S-so like just take it like grandpa’s showing you how to defend yourself against a shady industry. This happens when you’re famous, you can’t live life without taking risks.” Once the door opened he threw a device and closed the doors again the device quickly exploded disintegrating the agents into dust.
Rick opened the door again pressing the door open button a few times. “piece of shit’s easier to close than to open.” Morticia looked annoyed but stayed with her grandfather with her arms crossed. Rick walked out of the elevator with her and looked around. “ alright shoot the cameras Morticia.”
Morticia looked at him sighing and shot at the visible cameras as Rick points them out.
