Still. “If we can’t teach him the meaning of being a Serpent, then who the hell else can. Come on, Charlie. Don’t tell me you’re backing down on this shit.”

With a roll of her eyes, she doesn’t address the last part – can’t, truthfully. Sure, maybe there’s something in liking him, but she’s seen the girlfriend, walked in, literally, in the heat of the moment. “He’s got a pretty little blonde thing. I’m good. I don’t take on with people who’re taken, and you KNOW THAT.”

Lips curved into a smug grin, one that often plastered his face. Arms crossed over his chest as his head hung to the side  “ I know more than you think, ” He paused for a moment, eyes narrowing at Toni. “ Backing down? That’s one thing I never do but while he’s getting some of us killed, saving his own ass and focusing on the wrong things - I’m being sent out to do all the dirty work. Yet he’s king? ” Charlie scoffed at the idea, let alone the thought.. it was DISGUSTING to him that this is what the Serpents were becoming. “ Out of everyone, I thought you’d feel the same way. ”

Mindlessly, he gave a small nod while shrugging his shoulders “ Do I? ” He quipped, brows raising in question “ I don’t know, you two seem pretty close lately. Maybe the reason why you’re so willing to let this shit slide is because you’re HOPING he leaves the ‘pretty little blonde thing’ for you? ” Charlie knew he was pushing a button, if not multiple, it was one of the things that brought him great joy in life - annoying people.

“ I see you’ve been hanging around Jughead, you do know he’s going to be the thing that kills the Serpents right? ” Charlie scoffed at the thought of Jughead in charge, it should have been him. “ The only thing that kid cares about is saving his own ass, usually that means people like Penny Peabody showing up for retaliation. He should have dealt with her while he had the chance.” Shaking his head in disappointment at the lack follow through with in the Serpents, “ Maybe some one has a thing for Jughead - hm? ”

“ Seems like the South Side is really going to shit, huh? ”  Charlie grimaced at the thought, lips pressed together firmly. Bringing a finger to his chin and tapping it lightly against his skin, he shook his head   ---------   “ No, I won’t let that happen. Least not on my watch, everyone seems to be handing over everything to do with the South Side but I say -- we take back what is ours. If that ends in blood, so be it.” Wiping his hands together, a harsh chuckle escaped from his lips “ Not like my hands aren’t already dirty.”
