I saw the new triler of ep.IX, and like many of you I'm intrigue by the first scene with Rey, because I'm sure it's Kylo Ren's tie silencer.

I rewatched the scene un TLJ where for the ship appears, and it is really simililar to the one in the new trailer. Also, Kylo Ren is the only one who has a tie silencer!

Ok, so my husband thinks this scene has more than one meaning to it, more than one layer. There is the obvious meaning here where Supreme Leader is talking about Luke. And I think Snoke IS indeed talking about Luke here. But my husband thinks this is a hidden Easter egg plot which will unfold in IX: This could actually refer to Kylo Ren. You can see Snoke’s hand and pointer finger right above Kylo’s head when he’s saying the line “If Skywalker returns…” If Kylo returns to his old self, as Ben Solo Skywalker, the NEW kind of Jedi will rise…

I agree. Snoke is talking about Luke but what he doesn’t know is that the real threat is standing right in front of him. Huge forshadowing. Wow. Mind blown.

Also in TLJ, Snoke once again believes himself to be referring to Luke when he says,

“Skywalker lives! The seed of the jedi order lives. As long as it does, hope lives in the galaxy.”

But what’s interesting is that the camera is originally on Snoke, but when he emphasizes the word “hope” Kylo literally pops into the shot, like so:

Yes, indeed, this is referring to Ben, the only Skywalker seed left after Luke and Leia.
