Malia was knelt to the ground, bringing the cloth up subtly to her nose so she could get a scent. Scenes like this one, where there was a lot of blood, it made it harder for her to track a scent properly and her colleagues might not be entirely receptive to her sniffing evidence. Joining the FBI had never been a part of her plan - it was her ex’s thing, not hers - but Braeden kind of talked her into it. Reminding her that the FBI is a huge organisation, and Malia’s skills at tracking and hearing things people couldn’t would make her an asset in helping to ensure that killers like Corrine were kept behind bars.

“Tate.” Dark eyes dragged up from the item in her hands as she placed it inside an evidence bag before looking up at her team member. “We have another department from the FBI assisting us with this case.” Malia had just been about to respond when a familiar voice talking outside hit her ears. You’ve got to be kidding her. She sighed to herself as her boss then moved out to greet the other FBI team.

The profiler stood up, passing the evidence bag over to someone before peeling of the latex gloves that made her nose itch. She could hear her Unit Chief briefing the other team in the next room. “We’re glad to have you on board, this is Supervisory Special Agent Malia Tate with the BAU, Malia this is…”

“Agent Stilinski. Hi Stiles.” the werecoyote finished.

                 Another day, another murder; somethings weren’t so stark contrast from his high school days, only now he made a carer out of solving cases. FBI training had been tough, grueling and on the very worst days made him question every decision that lead him here. His team now human and longer filled with werewolves and the supernatural; although there was always a case of two that lead to a few late night facetime’s with Scott or Derek.           

            His team called in on a on-going murder investigation, which lead to the local sheriffs office to hand over to the FBI . A suspected serial killer that covered the tri-state area left the under funded Sheriffs office more than a little out of their depths. Mid brief with the unit Cheif and the next thing he knows he’s face to face with his high school girlfriend. 

             Malia Tate in the flesh, and it knocks Stiles for six, internal panic as he stands their in silence for what feels like forever, "Malia  -- I uh mean, Agent Tate... what... what are you doing here?" he stutters, almost inaudible looking at her like he’s just seem a ghost. It wasn’t as if they ended on particualrly bad terms; Stles wasn’t expecting to be blind sided like that before he’d even had his morning coffee.             “Shit uh -- sorry -- hi, hi -- it’s uh .. its good to see you.” nice save, Stiles could you sound any less sincere if you tried?

An eyebrow was raised at the human. He was never happy to see anyone outside of his own siblings, and he was fairly sure the human knew that. “Remind me why I’m calling teenagers instead of the Sheriff’s department when I find bodies in the reserve?” he grumbled. Really he should be calling Stiles’ dad, but here he was calling the local pack instead, If he was found out, he’d likely lose his job here on the reserve.

              A raised brow returned to match the sour wolf, he was doing him a favour and let he’s met with a furrow brow and distrust for Stiles’ plan. “ unless YOU want to explain to my dad why you keep finding bodies -- but hey, if you wanna get arrested be my guest. ” a smug smirk returned to him, “  so where is it -- the body -- you sure they’re dead dead? ” Stiles asks as he follows the wolf. “ Oh okay -- yup, yup that’s definitey dead dead -- ” backing up to trips right into Rhudi stumbling back away from the VERY  dead body.

             “ did you see anything weird last night? anyone, or THING -- ‘cause uh I’m pretty sure that whatever did this was more one of you than one of me, if you catch my drift -- maybe one of your little pack pals had a late night snack --”
