Here's the full version of the sketch, I kinda mimicked the style the kakegurui manga had because I thought it looked pretty with the realistic shading of the skin then pattern/solid color in the hair & clothes. And because without the skin shading, it looked boring as hell.

Been reading "Wuthering Heights" for the first time recently and I find fascinating how the relationship between Heathcliff and Isabella is portrayed and how her delusional infatuation with him is in a way relevant today too. I'm mostly talking about chapter 14 since I haven't finished the book yet. In the chapter we can see clearly what Heathcliff's true thoughts and intentions are for Isabella (even if they have been pretty obvious to the reader). He states that it seems she had pictured him as some sort of a romantic hero, willing to do anything for her, but after their marriage this fantasy shatters to the point where she has nothing but hatred for him. And the thing is she knew how cruel he can truly be, yet believed that she would somehow be the only exception to his cruelty.

It reminded me a lot of the big recent surge of 'dark romance' fiction and how attracted some people seem to be to the idea of being together with someone evil as long as it doesn't affect them personally. The 'I hate everyone and everything except for you' trope. I'm not saying that the trope is inherently bad, but just that people seem to sometimes really blur the lines between fantasy and reality to the point of delusion that leaves them in unfavorable situations. I really like how "Wuthering Heights" doesn't sugarcoat things. Anyhow it was just fun to find something in classic literature that reminds me of more recent one so much and how little humans seem to change in some aspects.
