Yard Mushrooms MasterPost
Part 1
Mid winter master post!!
I decided today [Early October last year] that I would catalog the types of mushrooms I have in my yard. This year was one of the best I’ve ever seen when it came down to the mushroom yield and so here we are.
1. Laccaria Bicolor
I used Google’s new image identification thingy and it told me that that’s what this is, although… it looks a lot like Omphaline so take this one with a grain of salt. Pretty little things one of my favorites
9/10
My personal favorite
2. Mushroom
This my dear friends this is a full fleshed mushroom, just look at that stump, beautiful, and that cap, stunning. A perfect fungus, if I do say so myself.
8/10
Didn’t even think these existed
3. Laccaria Laccata
I see these things everywhere at my camp and their colour looks beautiful with clover flowers and some yellow flowers. I’m sure you’ve seen some of my photos. A little basic though
5/10
A classic
4. Hydrocybe Chlorophana
This fungus has a gorgeous yellow colour, although it’s very small, which makes it a little hard to capture, although I would not give up a chance to take a picture of it.
7/10
Bebe
5. Mushroom
Although it looks much different than the other one this is still a mushroom. I see these things everywhere and they always reminded me of someone with freckles, or like souffle.
7/10
Would eat given the chance
6. Mushroom
This is another mushroom, it’s little underbelly things are really big. I’ve referred to them as gills in the past but I really hate that word so now their call underbelly frills.
4/10
Basic boi
7. Birch Bolete
This was the biggest mushroom I found, and it was like… REALLY big. Like six inches tall big. It also had water in it because it rained before I took the pictures.
3/10
Not gonna lie, kinda ugly
8. Scleroderma bovista
Plump bebe. If you open them up, I find this like so cool for some reason, their purple inside, like a lilacish colour. It’s really cool and I like it a lot
7/10
For the purple colour
9. Mushroom
It actually started to rain, like pour, while I was taking these photos so if they look wet, sans the next one, that’s why, I like literally got soaked though.
7/10
Little boi
10. Apioperdon
These ones are in the category of, what me and my family call, “Smoke Bombs” although they don’t actually smoke, or they’re not there yet. They kinda look like broken eggs and at fist I actually thought they were, but no they’re fungus.
8/10
Egg shell bois
Make sure to check out Part II!!
before posting, THINK:
T - is it funny
H - does it help spread misinformation (looking for “yes”)
I - is there the potential for angry anons to willfully misinterpret you in unpredictable ways
N - is it funny
