I'm epileptic. I wouldn't know it.

I don't experience it. I'm not traumatized, or in pain, or scared. There's a shield around me, like I'm affecting my environment, but it's not affecting me. I put up neon signs I can't get to turn on for me but blast a beacon across town for the people I love. I'm shielded from the electricity during a power surge, and when the storm fades and the color floods back in, I'm haunted by the blasts of neon I'd been broadcasting; I don't know what the signs say until I'm told.

I'm told they were bright. I'm told the colors exploded, that they were bursts of light that caught everyone's attention, so horribly loud and guttural that no one could look away. I simply skipped the cutscene. I elected without my consent to jump forward in time, and there are no highlights. Like being told about a game you can't rewatch.

It's okay.

I'll forget about it anyway.
