Hi! I will be starting my ODP course this September and just wondering how are the days in the hospital and how many days do you go in and when do you finish do you know! And congrats on your role!

The amount of days you’ll be spending at the hospital will depend on what pathway you’re on, (if you’re doing a diploma or degree pathway), but I used to do four days a week at hospital, but I used to do blocks of either 6,8 or 12 weeks depending on what time of the year it was; for example, when it came to the summer I was doing 12 weeks, but winter/autumn I was roughly doing six to eight weeks.
But overall, it all comes down to hours! Try and get ahead in your hours as that will help you later on in the year at times when you’re ill or have personal issues happening!
