Naruto paused for a moment, watching through the small crack in the kitchen door, his gaze fixed on Hinata. She was seated at the head of the table, her posture relaxed in a way he hadn’t seen in far too long. Kiba sat beside her, but it was Hinata who caught his attention most—her laughter was genuine, effortless, and filled the room like music. The kind of joy that made her eyes sparkle and her breath hitch in delight. Tears streamed down her face as she laughed uncontrollably, her entire body hunched forward in pure amusement. A pang of jealousy shot through him as he watched her, and a bitter thought crossed his mind: Had he ever been the one to make her laugh like that? Had he ever made her feel so at ease, so comfortable? He realized with a sinking feeling that he hadn’t. Not in a long time, not like this.
