hc that eddie had braces and definitely does not wear his retainers ss much as he should. but he still does, because the idea of his teeth moving back to how they used to be is frightening but not frightening enough to make him remember that he should be wearing them every night. and then he goes on to complain to steve about the pain hes going through with the tight retainers. steve has learned not to ask why he doesnt simply wear the retainers every night light hes supposed to.
