Makerly June – Pressed Flower Jewellery

I was so excited when I opened up June’s Makerly box to see that it involved using resin, a medium that I have wanted to try out for a while! I couldn’t wait to get started on this box, so pretty much started it straight away. This craft also takes a little longer than most the the Makerly kits, mainly just the time it takes to let the resin properly set.

This months Bakedin, The Baking Club box contained the recipe and dry ingredients to make 12 delicious Cherry Crumble Muffins!

Ingredients:

Bag 1 – 45g light brown sugar, 10g granulated sugar, 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Triple Layer Victoria Sponge!

For this weeks bake I decided to go for a classic, a Victoria Sponge! Then I decided to make a triple layer version instead of just the usual two layers! The cake was a great success and would be perfect for a summer garden party (could do with the sun coming back)

The last time I had a GeekGear World of Wizardry box, back in January, there was a note saying that their boxes were changing contents. Recently I bought a couple of climbing plants and had to find a trellis for them to grow up. Currently all of my plants are in pots, so I needed to find a pot with a trellis for my climbers. Mini Egg Cupcakes

This weeks bake had to be Easter themed, so of course involved mini eggs. The following is a great simple recipe to make some marble effect cupcakes, which are then topped with a simple butter cream icing and mini eggs!

With the following recipe I made 33 cupcakes, some slightly larger than others, its actually two cake recipes together to make the marble effect.

Flower Rhubarb Cake

I’ve wanted to use blood oranges in baking for a while, but they have a rather short season. So I was very happy when they popped up as a suggested item for an online grocery order! I then did a bit of looking around online for a blood orange cake recipe and cake across the idea of an upside down cake! The blood oranges have come up very dark on the following photo of my bake!
