Thinking about the indomitable human spirit. Thinking about how you can tell someone on death’s doorstep, “just hold on a little longer, help is on the way,” and they will, because they know it’s true. Thinking about how we fall, we patch each other up, and we just keep going. Running with aching joints and muscles. Limping on broken limbs. Rolling on wheelchairs, leaning on canes and walking sticks, crawling, dragging ourselves with our arms, it doesn’t matter how we do it, we persist. Each one of us a fragile being, all of us capable of combining into an unstoppable force. I love you all, I love us all.
