When asked “how are you?” Or “what have you been up to lately?”, it’s hard to not answer some lengthy answer, because as someone with chronic illnesses, my health IS my life. It’s what controls the ins and outs of my life, what I do, where I go.

So, I usually just say, “I’m hanging in there”. It’s easier.
