Hello Everyone!

My name is Bethsabe (but everyone calls me Betsy). I am 23 years old and was born in Long Beach. My parents decided to move to Texas when I was 4 years old so I was raised in the Rio Grande Valley. Throughout my high school years I based my life around classical music: playing and listening. Music was my life. I first attended an anime convention, Omnicon, in 2013, where I cosplayed as One Piece’s Monkey D. Luffy. It was a simple cosplay I could put together in a couple of days and it wasn’t expensive at all. I attended as a volunteer for the game room, so not only did I get to enjoy the convention but also got some volunteer hours for college. This was a totally new experience for me. All the people dressed up in costumes, the vendors selling so many items, the attendees competing in a cosplay competition to see who had the best cosplay… it was like an anime Halloween for me! Haha! I knew i had opened a new world for myself.

After that experience, I decided that cosplay looked like a lot of fun and I should try it someday. Well… that someday is now.

In about 3 weeks, i will be moving to Houston, Texas, and since that will be a new environment for me, I decided to share my experiences with everyone.

My blog is going to talk about my cosplay experiences: conventions and events I attend, cosplay pictures, DIY tutorials, and anything new.

i will (hopefully) update my blog every two weeks or so. :)
