“Knowing only two adults isn’t exactly promising considering how many there are around here,” Peter wasn’t completely sold on the other’s beliefs, but at the mention of this Grunkle Stan, he couldn’t help find his curiosity piqued. He had heard of rare cases where adults remained young at heart, but it was few and far between. “But your Grunkle Stan sounds pretty fun – has he ever pressured you into needing to grow up? That’s when adults come almost useless.” Okay, so maybe that was an over exaggeration. “I’d still like to meet him, I’ve never met an adult that was fun.” 

“Well it’s not like you have to talk to them if you don’t like them. Have you ever tried befriending an adult? I have and they always find it super weird.” Or maybe it was just Mabel they found weird but either way, her attempts to make adult friends never seemed to go very well. “Psh, no.” She said, waving a hand. “He doesn’t care about stuff like that. That’s a parents job, and he’s not gonna do anything he doesn’t have to. He let’s me have a pet pig, and a grappling hook. Also he once fought a dinosaur and he was awesome! If I figure out where he is I’ll totally introduce you.”

phoebe had been mabel’s second stop. her first was to try and find dipper, surely her brother could help her find a fix to this, but he hadn’t been in his room and she didn’t have any back up ideas. if she couldn’t have her brother to help her out the least she could do was go talk to a friend. “it’s just not fair.” and now she was ranting. why her? out of all the people in town to suddenly go invisible she could think of a few much better people than herself. “i feel like a total ghost. and i worked so hard to knit the sweater i’m wearing. i put the funniest pun on it that was going to blow everyone away. today was supposed to be the grand reveal.” and what if she was stuck like this forever? she’d have to find someone else to wear her amazing sweaters because they didn’t make a difference on her like this.

the sugar high from stolen candy had worn off fairly quickly. now she was stomping around town, not sure what to do. there were tons of people around to try to talk to, sure, but she had to try and determine what their reaction to this whole situation would be before actually approaching them. finally her eyes landed on someone who seemed like they would be nice. as way of some sort of offering she walked over, carefully placing all of her extra candy into their arms. “this sucks!” mabel exclaimed. maybe she should give barry more of an explanation. after all she didn’t just toss candy into their arms as an invisible person, but mabel couldn’t bring herself to do it. she was too worked up. “you know my very own grunkle doesn’t want to hang out with me until this wears off unless i agree to help him with some sort of crime?”

the male almost threw something at the window of the cafe. it was an irritable day and he couldn’t quite place why, just that his tea wasn’t quite right and his cigarettes were all drenched from the snow in the moment. however, the woman in front of him had begun on yet another tangent and he decided to at least attempt conversation. watson had told him years ago that sometimes it was better to engage more. maybe it’d take his mind off of things. “that was not what i was thinking at all, pines. bedazzling, as you put it, would take an extremely long time and is such a useless endevour.” he took a moment to observe her eyelids and the rest of her face, searching for scars or any sort of blemish from the gems. “why did you want to do something like that? it’d certainly be unneccesary pain and covering your face in those would not attract a partner in the slightest- it seems like you’d be less likely if anything… as much as the term peacocking is a thing, that is not what they meant. maybe colorful clothing-” sherlock took another sip of his tea and gestured to his company’s outfit. “but not a face.”

“who said i was trying to attract a partner? but do you really think no one would be attracted to that? what about the hipster artsy guys?” it hadn’t been her intention at all, but mabel couldn’t help but ask. after all, this sort of stuff was pretty regular for mabel, and if absolutely no one was going to be attracted to her for it, she was going to have to rethink what aspects of herself she put out there. how would she have the romance of a lifetime at some point if she just wasn’t cut out for that sort of story? she was starting to feel a little worked up by it so she quickly took a sip of her chocolate, not letting herself sit and dwell on the bad things. “but no, it wasn’t meant to impress anyone visually, it was more just an art project, you know? you have to try new things with art cause it’s constantly changing. how else am i going to end up in the moma one day? it’s not going to be by sticking to boring old paintings all the time i can tell you that. face bedazzling is only the thing a true visionary could think of, like me!”

His hand laid on the wet cloth he once held. Although his quiet demeanor, Beom-Soo enjoyed his time spent at work. He loved hearing all the customers converse with one another and even some of the baristas as well. Usually, the town was very calm at times but after something big hit it, the people can’t get over it until some new happens. The male simply nodded his head at her question already curious over what she had to say. He picked up the napkin dispenser to wipe the crumbs off the table as he heard her speak. She was louder than most customers but that was what made her stand out from everybody. He found it kind of refreshing to actually meet someone who wasn’t as timid as him or calm as the others he met throughout the town. He smiled up at her, finding her snowed-in story exciting and slightly funny. A short chuckle escaped his lips as he tried to pick up.  “ Were you trying to become a disco ball or something?? ” 

Mabel didn’t drink coffee often. She already had too much energy, and caffeine tended to leave her shaky in a bad way. Hot chocolate though, Mabel loved hot chocolate. And it had just enough sugar to get her hyped but not too crazy. They were also a great place to go out and just talk to whoever was around, there was always someone. This time it was a nice looking employee. “Not quite. I mean that would have meant having to do the back of my head too, and then I’d have to glue them to my hair.” And as much as Mabel loved to sparkle she was not going to risk her hair for it. She just knew she wouldn’t look good with it chopped off. “Or at the very least I would have to be able to spin around very fast in order to compensate for only having half my face covered. “I just needed another art project. I usually do scrapbooking or drawing, but I was just so bored with the snow. You have to mix it up sometime you know?”

euntak was more than accustomed to listening to mabel ramble and honestly, it always made her smile. it was nice to take her mind off of things for once and be distracted, it was always something new and strange with the other ( but in a good way ). a small chuckle immediately escaped her lips as she heard how the other had managed to entertain herself during the god-awful blizzard the town had endured, “okay, but if anyone could pull off bedazzling their face it would be you. and you never know, if you do it again and upload a video to instagram you could start one of those trends – like christmas tree eyebrows.” even if she found it slightly ridiculous, she admired people who put themselves out there creatively because it was something she could never personally do. “what did dipper think? you should try bedazzling him some time.” she teased, crinkling her nose.

mabel liked talking to euntak. she sat and listened to her even though she had a horrible habit to ramble more than most people would like. mabel couldn’t help the way her face lit up with excitement. she always allowed her emotions to show very clearly on her face. “i didn’t even think of that. i could become instagram famous!” mabel said, her eyes almost shining at the thought. maybe social media was the way she should be going to get herself out there. “he thought it was ridiculous and ignored me.” mabel said with an easy shrug. dipper didn’t understand art like she did, and while she was trying to help him get there she knew it would be slow. “oh man i don’t know. he would look amazing being bedazzled, but i have to beg just to get him to let me put mascara on him. and there’s no way he’d let me put it up on instagram.” as much fun as dipper usually was he was not that fun.

Slightly’s nose scrunched up as he was practically forced to listen to her story. He wasn’t much of a fan of hyper individuals ever since he and the rest of the gang grew a bit more, but he wasn’t unfamiliar with them. “You sound a bit… mental, you know that? Why would you actually put things on your eyelids? Or, on your face at all? Isn’t that fit for clothes or something?” He asked,brows furrowing. He didn’t get it nor did he think he would ever get it. Girls were fucking weird.

Mabel waved a hand, not seeming offended at all. “Psh, I’m gonna take that as a compliment. You have to be a little crazy to be a real artist.” All the best artists in history weren’t normal after all. Where was the fun in that? Was she even still allowed to go on adventures if she decided to be normal? Mabel really wasn’t sure. “Well but if you put them on your clothes you have to bedazzle a ton of stuff to wear it all the time. If it’s on your face you’re always bedazzled, which is like, clearly the ideal situation.”

Cindy had always adored arts and crafts (  just recently she had helped her mother knit a sweater ) however she couldn’t imagine someone bedazzling their face for fun.  The girl giggled a bit before covering her mouth with her hands. “ Well, it definitely sounds like you weren’t bored at least. “ she chimed out optimistically.  

“I wasn’t. And I was really worried I was gonna be since my brother decided to just read the whole time.” After all, her first plan had to been to make Dipper do something fun with her, but that didn’t work out very well. “What about you? Did you find anything interesting to do?” Mabel asked, leaning closer in interest.

Helga listened to the younger girl talk with her usual smile. she only had the faintest clue what bedazzled was - a girl had come into school last week with her shoes covered in tiny, shiny studs on her shoes. putting those on your face sounded…painful. “it sounds like you had fun!“ is all she can really say. “have you thought about bedazzling peoples faces for money? i’m sure your craft would be appreciated,”

mabel beamed, glad that the woman didn’t seem to be confused or judging her from the story. “i did it was great!” mabel paused, tapping her chin as she thought. she had been trying to figure out how to make a job out of her artistry and it was definitely an idea. “i have not. i’m worried people don’t appreciate the modern art that goes into it. my brother sure didn’t. but hey! maybe if i do it again and take pictures of myself i can use that to help advertise and convince people. yeah, that’s an amazing idea.” even if it meant she’d be pulling sequences off of her face again.

Before Oka could respond to the girl, announcing that she doesn’t want to know about what the stranger was up to on her own private time, the girl has already responded and continued talking. It was far too early for any kind of excitable human interaction like that, and Oka knew that very well – it wasn’t her first time of standing in-line and waiting to be served by a barista at the coffee shop. However, the queue seemed to be stuck for a bit longer, and in hopes to make the most out of it, Oka finally responded to the girl’s (whose name was, most probably, Mabel) rambling, although her stoic and almost sulky attitude didn’t go anywhere. “Bedazzling your face? Who on Earth would be wasting their time like this? Not to mention how much of a stupid idea it is in the first place.”

“Cause I was snowed in.” Mabel answered, sounding confused. She thought she had made that very obvious when she started telling the story. “Not that I wouldn’t try it some other time, but I usually don’t have the time for something like that.” She either had to work or run off on some self-made adventure. “And artistry like that, it just takes patience and meticulous glue work. I couldn’t just rush it.” Mabel wasn’t bothered by the comment that it was a stupid idea. She was used to people not appreciating what she saw as art. Instead she just huffed. “What else are you supposed to do when you’re stuck inside for hours? I bet you can’t come up with anything cooler.”

“well my favorite part is it’s a brand new adventure! you would think i wouldn’t get to do anything as fun as gravity falls but this is super cool! i’m pretty sure there’s even people here with powers, like how cool is that. i just wish dipper was here with me. it’s not as fun without him and he’s gonna be super upset when he hears i went on an adventure with him.”

Mabel was having a great time. Just a little earlier she had found her grappling hook, and now she was running around town, trying to pull herself up onto buildings and do stunts. Still, as much fun as it was, she couldn’t help but feel a little lonely. She was so used to having Dipper around with her all the time and now she didn’t know who to share her adventure with. Not thinking much at all Mabel quickly went to fix the problem, running up to the nearest person. “Hey you, hello!” She said, quickly waving. “I’m Mabel, and you should come exploring with me. You know, I have this super cool grappling hook.” She waved the object around for demonstration. “And I bet I could get us to some awesome areas with it. Wanna give it a shot?”

“I really don’t like this place,” a small grumble escaped Peter as he tightly folded his arms across his chest, a soft huff following after. He knew that he should have been trying to find some way back to Neverland instead of sitting there pouting, but it felt useless at this point. “There are too many adults here… a place with so many adults can’t possibly be fun. Can it?” He lifted his gaze quickly and met the eyes of someone who was currently sitting across from him almost expectantly.

Mabel was high in energy. A new adventure! She only wished her brother was here to share it with her. “Well yeah probably. Adults can be fun after all. I know at least two fun adults.” Mabel said excitedly. Did this guy hang out somewhere where there were no adults? Mabel didn’t even know a place like that existed. “Like my Grunkle Stan, he’s the coolest. He breaks the laws and helps me and my brother fight zombies. It would definitely be fun if he was here.”

Cecil walked into the shop like he owned the place, which earned him a scowl from Stan, who was standing behind the desk. No doubt he had thought Cecil was an actual paying customer, rare as they were. He gave the older man a nonchalant “hey” before slipping past him, making for the stairs at the back of the shop. He took the steps two at a time, finally arriving in the living room portion of the apartment. Mabel was sitting at the coffee table, no doubt scrapbooking or doodling away. Without much introduction, Cecil plopped down next to her, a wide grin on his face. “I’m ready for the best sleep over ever!” He said, taking off his backpack to revel it was full of books on folklore. And of course, his favorite PJs.

Mabel had just finished work ten minutes ago. Stan had let her cut her shift short so he could close the shop on time and get out to play poker. She always spent too long talking to customers and closed the place late. She had lounging around. She was just going to sit an wait for Cecil but she wound up getting distracted, and before she knew it she was working hard on one of the supernatural portions of her current scrapbook.”Cecil!” She turned to face him, eye bright and excited, not bothered by the way he just walked in. She looked into his bag, her grin growing. “You brought the goods. This is gonna be great.” She was still in her regular sweater for the day, but once it got dark she would definitely get into PJs. “I bought all sorts of great snacks today so we’re set on food. And Stan is leaving in a little bit, so we can really have an adventure.”

"so, wanna hear about how i spent my time in during the blizzard?" it was a rhetorical question. she had already decided on telling the person in front of her. she hadn’t been able to talk to anyone since the snow started and now that she was free she was dying for some human interaction. "i bedazzled my face!" she was definitely speaking too loud for a public setting but mabel had never been great at controlling her volume. "and i know what you're thinking. mabel, you're a great artist. how could something as simple but groundbreaking as bedazzling your face take so long and i hear you. unfortunately it turns out removing sequins from your eyelids is quite a process." really she should just be happy the marks were gone, otherwise she'd be here acting like a fool.

A sigh left her lips as Ayano rested her head in the palm of her hand, eyes staring off into some empty distance. “What does it take to get a boy to notice you – in a good way, I mean? Seems like boys only care about big boobs and air heads,” she said bitterly. It was normal to complain about boys and their idiotic ways, she reminded herself. “Do you think the girls are actually that empty in the head or do they put on an act?”

“I don’t know.” Mabel whined, dropping down slightly onto the table in front of her. “I’m cute, artistic, and have a grappling hook. Three great traits that guys should be interested in. And you’re super pretty. Yet here we are single.” Mabel usually waited until summer to really complain about her boy problems. Summer was when she really wanted her perfect romance after all, but it didn’t take much prompting for her to fall into it no matter what the season. She gasped slightly. “You think they do that? Lie about their intelligence to make boys like them more? That’s awful.”
