I'm really frustrated right now so I'm gonna rant uhh

swearing warning. also injury mentioned but its not that bad ig

so. I sprained my ankle JUST BARELY OVER 24 hrs ago. I was trying to help cook and I stepped wrong, then next thing I know I hear a loud ass fucking POP and I'm falling over and can't walk. Lowk doesn't hurt too much now unless I try to walk.

My fucking stupid father said "you can't nurse it back to health" WELL FUCKING GUESS WHAT? IM DOING WHAT EVERY DOCTOR WE DIDNT SPEAK TO WOULD TELL US TO FUCKING DO. Oh yeah also we DIDN'T GO TO THE FUCKING HOSPITAL. FUCK YOU DAD.

I've been avoiding putting my weight into it and I've been avoiding most activity with it—my dad and brother say you're SUPPOSED to put more and more pressure onto it every day and expected me to—barely at the 24 hr mark btw—be able to WALK ON IT because they're fucking MORONS and were fine walking with an INJURY OF WHICH DOCTORS AND ALMOST EVERY SOURCE EVER TELL YOU NOT TO FUCKING WALK WITH.

I've been keeping it raised and putting an ice pack on it every like 1-3 hours for around 20 minutes. My brother so far has completely forgotten that is something you're supposed to do. if you're seeing this (you probably arent) brother GET ME THE ICE, BOY.

And I tried to put a bandage on my foot earlier—the bandages my dad had at least SOME sense to get me—and my brother was whining that it was a waste of bandage and got fucking pissed when I told him I still needed to do it, then insisted that my ANKLE instead of where I actually got injured was what needed support and forced me to out it on my ankle mostly before whining that I was wasting all of the bandage in the house anyways and letting me put the rest of the bandage where I needed to. We still have a second spool of bandages btw he's just a little fucking dumbass (also he's older than me. Bro is going to college and I'm still in highschool and I've never sprained my ankle before and I still know about injury care more than these dumbasses do.)

i think there were a couple contenders when i was making my user, but i eventually decided that i wanted to reference The Crane Wives, because they’re a hell of a band, and i have quite literally All of their songs on a single compiled playlist. i also wanted to chuck a life series ref into the mix, and i ended up settling on Canary (a la the canary curse) (and the canary in a coal mine song BY tcw) and so they got smacked together, and the-canary-wives was thereby established :D

fun fact, i actually hate my username!! i would change it (and honestly i likely will anyway) if i wasn’t already known as ghghghostt around here.

BUT, ghost is the nickname i’ve been using online for a few years now. i was looking for things that had my kind of vibe and names that felt somewhat in the middle of masc and fem and ghost had a ring to it that just felt right. i got to ghghghostt by literally just sticking more letters into it until i had a username.

so I was really into epic the musical when it was still coming out and I would get on all the releases that were streamed on YouTube and so I was on for the release of the Wisdom Saga and in the comments while we were waiting for it to start ppl were putting blooket codes so I joined one and I didn’t have a name to use that wasn’t my irl name so I put the name Argos and chose the dog blook. Because yknow. Argos the dog. From the odyssey. I’m hilarious I know

Fast forward to last school year I took Latin 1 as my language class bc it’s required to take a language but I didn’t want to do I chose latin (I ended up switching to German the next year lmao) because it was an online class (psa do not take online classes) and in that class we literally had no work bc there was I think six of us and the handful of German online students so me and my friends that I made in there would literally do nothing but play gimkit. We would grind that shit to get new skins and such it was awesome I can speedrun no way up now. But anyways after a while we started putting in nicknames bc we can idk it’s gimkit and I put Argos again because. I still didn’t have any other names lmao and it kinda became a joke between the three of us (they still call me Argos irl)
