In a world where people have a chance to turn into a monster. This happened very suddenly all over the world, and now we're at a post-apocalypse sort of story! I was inspired by a show I watched once, and I've sadly forgotten the name of it, but !! Each monster works in a specific way!

David is one of the best monsters out there because he's almost sentient, so he can respond to many orders, requests and even questions. He's very friendly to those who smile back at him, and very unfriendly towards those who don't! He also doesn't appreciate bad language, and feels distressed to see his friends not getting along. Be chill, and he'll be chill as well! So, if you need a favor from a creature who has unnatural strength, speed, and resistance? Ask him nicely with the prettiest smile you can muster, and he'll be happy to help!

Just, uh, don't let him catch you asleep. You can't exactly smile when you're sleeping... Unless you're Daniel. He's just like that.

David never leaves the forest where camp used to be, and is pretty territorial against humans and monsters alike — unless they're friends, of course!

Gwen and Daniel became allies out of convenience, and live in the forest under David's questionable protection. Quartermaster never really left, but he's... unreachable. Neither of them expected to find Max near these woods. Maybe this is when he'll learn how to smile more!
