oh like how sarcopenia (muscle loss) and the associated osteoporosis effects women significantly more than men? and we dont really talk about why, we just assume its biological? like yes okay it has to do with estrogen but HAVE WE NOT COMSIDERED. Science fakcts: Alpha gal is not an infectious microorganism, but a carbohydrate molecule naturally found in certain animals. Alpha gal syndrome is an allergic response to red meat. We always knew some people were allergic to red meat, just like people can be allergic to anything at all. It wasn't until the 2000's that anyone learned a particular type of red meat allergy was caused by the introduction of alpha-gal into the bloodstream by a tick bite, and so this allergy was newly named and described as alpha-gal syndrome. Then, in 2026, a grown adult believed it was possible for humans to have created any part of this process, saw some headlines on google mentioning how it was "identified" in 2008, believed this meant that it was actually brand new to nature, did not actually open any of the results to read them, believed they still qualified as a "critical thinker," and broadcast this multi-layered intellectual failure this smugly.

This post taught me something new. I currently work in a tick lab doing tick research, my first paper was on the biochemistry of alpha gal and another protein as a potential immune suppression mechanism for Borrelia burgdorferi in ticks. All this time, I completely failed to consider there were crazed conspiracy theorists for my niche too! I’m so happy, the tick researchers are making it big now that we have 1 crazed theorist

I'm so so so angry. in Horsey Game, I found a wild legless horse, cloned it repeatedly, and mass-sold the clones to all my rival ranches to pollute their gene pools. and when my plan finally reached fruition.....when at last, I came into a race where every opponent had no legs.......my stupid fucking horse fell over.
