Hi Friends,
I hope everyone is faring well during these uncertain times. For many of us, the Beehive Bungalows has been a consistent oasis to escape the stresses of a hectic world. Knowing that, it saddens me share some unfortunate news: As of this past week, the Beehive Bungalows has been officially sold and will no longer be operating as such. This marks the end of an era.
I am so fortunate to say that the past 10 summers have been the best of my life. I'd developed a successful seasonal business, hosted amazing people from all over the world, met my wife, Megan, was married on the sand, and hopefully held a special place in all of your hearts. As we welcomed our Baby Bee, Eleanore, into the world this past January, I knew that this coming summer would be very different. The news of the sale is upsetting, but it puts closure on what was otherwise the most fulfilling dream job anyone could've asked for.
While I am not exactly sure what is next for the Bungalows at 496 Dune Road, I have been told that the new owners would be continuing the tradition of a spring cleanup in anticipation of a busy summer rental season. I am unable to share any further information at this time, frankly because I am not in the loop. But should I be given the details, I will gladly share.
Thank you to everyone that helped make the Beehive everything that it was. I hope to be able to write everyone in the not so far-off future with details of a new hidden gem off the beaten path; a curated retreat full of character and charm that my family is able to share with yours, yet to be discovered.
If you're so inclined, please share your favorite Beehive Bungalows memory tagging our Facebook or Instagram profiles, to create a living memorial of this magical place we all hold so dear to our hearts.
Forever Grateful,
Harris Brenner
