Masterlist
Amara
She loves foxglove. As a ranger she knows it's toxic to both humans and animals, but she can't deny its beauty. Foxglove symbolizes the duality of magic and danger, intuition, protection, and creativity.
However, I associate Amara with Vervian and Red Spider Lilies.
Veverian represents love, protection, purification, healing, and luck. It's also often associated with vampires. Red Spider Lillies symbolize finality, death, and rebirth. In Japanese culture they are seen as evil or cursed.
Her story is one of love and healing which was lost when Astarion ascended and made her his spawn. Now she basically floats through life.
Zorah
Selûne's Tear is her favorite. She is a Paladin and I think she finds the flower very beautiful.
I associate her with Violets. They represent modesty, faithfulness, and spiritual wisdom.
Zorah grew up with just her human mother before traveling to the Feywilds and meeting her high elf father. She became the picture of faithfulness and strength, becoming a knight for the high elves. She wasn't able to be nobility like her father, but wanted to devote herself to him still.
Yoomee
Yoomee finds every flower beautiful in its own way, but Firethorn always stuck out to her. The flower represents protection, strength, resilience, and prosperity.
She's associated with Purple Crocuses. They symbolize dignity, pride, success, and royalty.
She grew up in a high ranking household, borderline nobility. She trained and learned and became a jack of all trades. Her parents take pride in her achievements and successes.
Diwata
Her favorite flower is Tsubaki (Camelia). It represents longevity, deep love, loyalty, and strength.
Diwata is associated with Cerinthe. Protection, affection, and good luck.
Luck is her technique, without it she would be in a drastically different place than she is. Her whole life she spent wanting protection and love, but at 8 she finally got that. Now she works to make everyone feel the same thing.
Orchid
Despite her name, she doesn't care for orchids. Her favorite flower is Tassel Flower (Love-Lies Bleeding). The flower symbolizes resilience, beauty, and auspicious health.
I associate her with Carnations. The flowers symbolize fascination, distinction, and love. Colors adding extra meanings.
Orchid grew up in a loud, but stable home. She learned the value of hard work, love and dedication. To me she is the embodiment of love, platonic and romantic.
Takeshi
He loves Daylilies. They represent "forgetting worries", maternal love, and the fleeting beauty of life.
But he's associated with Protea. It represents diversity, transformation, courage, and strength.
He grew up just fine, stable house, lots of extra-ciriculars, but after October 31, 2018 his whole life changed. Takeshi had to be stronger than he'd ever been, more brave, more everything. And he succeeded, despite his fears.
Shizuka
Her favorite flower is Spring Ephemerals. They symbolize hope, renewal, and the fleeting beauty of life.
Bluestar (Amonia) represents her best. It's represents hope, renewal, endurance, and strength.
The flowers are small and delicate looking, but they're resilient, survinging through droughts and being able to grow in different soil types. Shizuka was born deaf, leading her on a completely different road than everyone in her family. Despite it all she persisted and became a strong sorcerer and friend.
Eztli
Eztli always loved Laelia Orchids. They represent strength, beauty, luxury, and love.
She is represented by Lily of the Valley and Angel's Trumpet.
Angel's Trumpet often symbolize dangerous and toxic power, transformation, and death. Lily of the Valley symbolize returning happiness, purity, humility, and new beginnings.
She was abused from the day she was born. All she'd known was violence and when she finally escaped her father, violence found her again. It was a never ending cycle of danger and pain until she was finally arrested. The SDN gave her a second chance and showed her life beyond pain and suffering.
Atiya
Her favorite flower and the one that represents her are Hydrangeas. They symbolize heartfelt emotion, gratitude, and understanding.
As a dispatcher for the SDN, she is one of the most understanding to her team. Atiya knows she's lived a privileged life and is forever grateful to her parents for that.
Pasha
They like the Siberian Fawn Lily best. The flower represents renewal, optimism, and rebirth.
Aspen represents them best. The flower symbolizes protection, grief, and overcoming unknown fears.
Pasha moved to The States at 5 from Russia. Despite living in the US most of their life they found themselves missing home. They got into the wrong crowd searching for answers and wound up in jail. They want to do better, they want to find where they belong, but a deep rooted fear keeps Pasha from finding what they're looking for.
Saraswati
Her favorite flowers are Eelgrass and Sea Purslane. Eelgrass symbolizes resilience, hidden tranquil strength, and ecological interconnectedness. Sea Purslane represents resilience, protection, and endurance.
I associate Saraswati with Creeping Phlox. It represents harmony, unity, and "our souls are united".
She is a Cecaelia and believes that the world, nature, and all living beings are connected. She wants world peace and harmony. She thinks the world depends on her and her kind to make it happen.
Glaucio
His favorite flower is Strawberry Tree. The flowers symbolize resilience and the enduring beauty of nature.
He's associated with a combination of Lotus, Black Dahlia, Black Rose, and Primrose. Lotus represents strength, resilience, and healing; however, Black Roses symbolizes "You are my obsession", Black Dahlia represents obsession, tragedy, and unfulfilled obsession, while Primrose represents "I can't live without you".
Because of Glaucio's trauma, and the outcome because of it I couldn't just pick one. He endured abuse from a woman he barely knew and it twisted his mind in the worst way. He's almost lost all of his empathy and emotions, but because of his team at SDN, he has a second chance.

Pasha Sokolov
They were born in Russia, but moved to the states at 5. Their life was pretty mediocre and calm until high school. They got into the wrong crowd and was sent to Juvenile Detention for shop lifting.
Later in life they were arrested for conspiracy, robbery, carjacking, and kidnapping. The kidnapping was accidental, they didn't know there was a baby in the back seat. Serving 6 years.
They are 22 years old, 5'2", and Russian. They know Russian, English, and Spanish.

Powers:
Pasha can turn into a beetle at will; however, their size varies.
When large (roughly 3ft+) they cannot fly. Decreasing their mobility by 2, but increasing their intelligence by 1. This has a 40% chance to happen.
When medium sized (11in-2'11") their stats do not change from their base. They can fly, but not carry others. This has a 12% chance.
When small sized (less than 11in) they can fly at high speeds, increasing their mobility by 1, but lowering their intelligence by 2. This has a 48% chance.
Combat Style:
Brute force, but noticeable hand to hand training.
Hero Training:
Exoskeleton: once per shift, if all slots are filled on a mission, everyone's defense is increased by 1.
Passenger Bug: when mid sized they can fly with her mission partner, cutting travel time in half.

Glaucio Santos
Glaucio grew up in Chicago. In middle school his parents got divorced and he started living with his dad full time. He mom claimed to never want him. His father started dating a woman Glaucio 's freshman year of high school. She quickly took a liking to him, and pushed boundaries. When her antics escalated and he finally told his dad, Glaucio 's father kicked her out. Damage was done and Glaucio started to struggle mentally and started becoming obsessive of girls around him.
He was arrested at 21 after following a girl to St. Louis, Missouri. He was found guilty of breaking and entering, robbery, stalking, and indecent exposure. He only got 1 year plus probation.
He is 21 years old, 5'7", and Portuguese American. He knows English and Portuguese.

He can persuade people with his words, having them do or allowing him to do whatever he wants. He can encourage any emotion he wants from his targets.
If someone is suspicious of him, his powers don't work.

Breaking Will: once per shift, if on a mission alone, his charisma is maxed out, almost guaranteeing success. The mission takes half time..
Wakey Wakey: if his synergy partner is resting, he can 'wake' them once per shift.

Saraswati Dewanji
She was born off the coast of India. She grew up knowing about human pollution. When she finally came of age, 25, she started fighting back. She started in India and moved around the world. When she finally made it to the U.S. she was caught and arrested.
Her crimes are terrorism and ecocide. She is currently serving 10 years in the states before being shipped off to India.
She is 63 years old, 5'11" (7'3" when in mer form), and Indian Cecaelia. She is fluent Hindi, Bengali, and English. She is proficient in Arabic, Spanish, and some Slavic languages.

Powers:
She can manipulate small amounts of water. Her nails and teeth are razor sharp. She can swim at incredible speeds.
She has a human form when on land and her mermaid form when in water. She has to be sent on an underwater mission every two missions or she will be injured.
Combat Style:
Wild, she'd obviously highly trained, but she does her own thing.
Hero Training:
Eight Arm Twist: when sent on an underwater mission alone, her eight arms take the remaining slots at 1/4th stats.
Gills for Days: when another hero is sent on an underwater mission with her, she can give them gills until their second rest.

Salik Dahl
Salik grew up in Iceland. From what they and their family knows, or at least can remember, their powers manifested at 5 years old. They have erased memories from their family and friends, at times making them forget about Salik completely. They became an international student for college, but it didn't last long.
They were arrested for terrorism, breaking and entering, and theft of government secrets. They're serving 15 years, but may serve more as they keep trying to escape by taking the guards memories.
Salik is 23 years old, 5'7", and Icelandic. They are fluent in Icelandic and English.

Powers:
They can erase memories. He can save and store memories he finds important. When erasing memories of himself in others minds, he erases the same memory from his mind.

Hero Training:
Memory Swap: give his mission partner memories he's saved. For intelligence missions, his partner gains +1 intelligence, for attack based they gain +1 attack. For regular heroes it has a 50% chance of working, with his synergy partner it has a 75% chance to succeed.
Sap: he can see full memories (up to 5 hrs long) and change them, either taking pieces or manipulation parts, allowing him to retry missions. He can only do this once per shift.

Nubia Bakir
Growing up she didn't know how to use her powers. She had accidentally changed the makeup of some things and severely hurt or killed people around her. She immigrated to the states with her mother after the accidental death of her father at 15 years old.
She was arrested for identity theft and is serving 2 years in prison.
Nubia is 27 years old, 5'6", and Egyptian. She can speak Egyptian Arabic and English.

She can change the material of her body; however she has to know the elements that make up the material she wants to change into, and their order.

Heart of Steel: once per shift, if she fails a mission, she returns uninjured with +1 defense.
